Macmillan Cancer Support and the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust work together to bring you the Macmillan Information and Support Service.
Our friendly Macmillan team and trained volunteers are here to help you. If you have cancer yourself, care for a friend or relative, work as a health professional or want to know more about cancer, we are here for you.
We know that cancer can turn your life upside down, but you are more than your diagnosis. We treat you as a person and offer you a calming and confidential space to receive one-to-one support.
You can access our drop-in services without a referral or appointment. If you are making a special journey to see us, we suggest you book an appointment. You can phone, email or text us.
Some of the ways in which we can help you are:
Access to a wide range This can be in many different formats including other languages
A confidential listening ear with a member of the team
Finance support, advice on grants and referrals to other services such as the Macmillan Welfare Rights Team
Information about other support and These include healthy lifestyle, local and national support groups, physical and emotional concerns
Free tea or coffee in a calm space. You can escape the hustle and bustle of the hospital around appointments times or whilst waiting for someone.
