I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Tracy, who was extremely unprofessional and lacked both empathy and understanding. I asked a simple question about whether they provide a priest, as this is the first time my family has gone through this process. Her response was shockingly rude, saying, “I don’t have it in my pocket.” Throughout the conversation, she repeatedly emphasized that the service is free, which was irrelevant since I never questioned the cost.
It’s important to note that this service is funded by a government grant, so it’s not truly “free” but rather publicly supported. I was simply looking for the best possible service for my premature daughter during an emotionally difficult time, but instead, I was met with insensitivity and condescension.
Clients deserve to be treated with respect and compassion, especially in such delicate situations. This experience is something no father should have to endure. I hope Tracy and her organisation can reflect on this and improve their understanding of their clients’ needs, as it’s not always about money, but about providing care and support during challenging moments.
