- JCJay CummingsMar 14, 20225.0I have had the recent priviledge to enjoy multiple visits to the Thetford Building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The building is utilized by two different Wards/Congregations. The times of the day for the services have been 10am for the Thetford Ward and 1pm for the Mildenhall Ward. The services have been so uplifting and the people so nice, that I've attended both essentially back to back each week. The Thetford Ward is currently the larger of the two. There are many well established mature members there. The Mildenhall Ward is a younger congregation with a large number of children. They are such a joy to be around as a kind and loving people. Services are under the direction of Lay-Ministers called Bishops. The very first time I attended 3 weeks ago, the people were kind and welcoming right off the bat. I had a number of people that greeted me and made me feel very welcome. The meetings are divided into different parts with one in the full chapel with all attending as families together for the first hour and then during the second hour of the services they are broken into age appropriate classes that are well supervised and instructed by loving and caring teachers for each of the different groups. I will continue to attend for the next few weeks until I fly home in April. Give it a try. If really interested, try both as I'm doing. I think you will find it quite plesent and informative. All are welcome!
