Fountains court care home in Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, a 46-bedroom ground floor residential care home which was opened in June 2017 and offers residents a far more interactive environment with substantially more choice of communal space than is typically provided in standard care homes. It has been designed around the homes’ working period street scene complete with six real and operational shop fronts, a curiosity shop window display, a central fountain, an original working 1936 phone box and ornamental traditional street lighting.
The working street includes a Victorian style Tea Room, Restaurant, Coffee Shop, Post Office and Newsagents and even a traditional British Pub!
