  I have found it very difficult to write this review because I genuinely wanted my experience with this nursery to be a positive one. Unfortunately, I have been left extremely disappointed, particularly with the management at Bright Horizons Hatch End. My main concern is the nursery manager, who I found to be neither welcoming nor approachable. Interactions with parents often felt abrupt, and discussions were conducted in a manner that made me feel as though I was being spoken to like a child rather than a valued parent. Basic courtesy and professionalism seem to be lacking. A simple “good morning” or “have a nice day” can make a significant difference, yet I cannot recall a single occasion where this was offered voluntarily. I always felt I had to be the first to greet her. What also stood out was that, when in the office, she would rarely open the main door for parents herself, leaving other members of staff to do so instead. While this may seem like a small detail, it contributes to an overall impression of disengagement and poor leadership. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, the atmosphere created by management often left me feeling uncomfortable when dropping off or collecting my child. This situation is particularly disappointing because my child genuinely enjoyed attending the nursery. They built lovely relationships with the classroom staff, who were caring, supportive, and clearly dedicated to the children in their care. It is a real shame that the management experience overshadowed the positive aspects of the nursery. Ultimately, I felt I had no choice but to withdraw my child. It is unfortunate that a setting with such wonderful staff and happy children can be let down by poor leadership. For that reason, I will not be recommending Bright Horizons Hatch End to other parents.

  Went to this nursery for a tour through a recommendation. But unfortunately we will not be returning to enrol our children. The nursery was extremely busy and the rooms were a tip. I know it is a nursery but the children seemed bored, not engaging in anything and we’re aimlessly just walking around doing nothing! The person doing the tour was quite abrupt and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. I understand the nursery is under new management, maybe this has something to do with it? But from my experience we will not be returning.
