Nursery SchoolDay Care Centre
Wandsworth Common Day Nursery and Preschool provides children aged between 6 months and 5 years old. The nursery has good car parking facilities and excellent access to public transport. We are open from 7.30am until 6pm each day offering flexibility with options of morning and afternoon half days, 7.30am to 1pm and 1pm to 6pm.
The nursery has five large, bright rooms offering plenty of space for children to learn and explore. Resources are thoughtfully arranged with everything at a low level for all ages to access independently. Our home corners help to make the children feel comfortable and safe.
Each nursery room has free flow access to garden spaces for the children to play, have fun, explore and learn. In our main garden we have a mud kitchen and plant patches to grow a variety of fruit and vegetables, supporting our Growing Gardeners programme. There are areas offering lots of physical fun, with bikes and scooters for the children to enjoy and the under two’s have their very own outdoor space.

- CCCoutours CloDec 12, 20241.0I was deeply disturbed by the treatment of children at this nursery. I witnessed staff members shouting directly in children’s faces, forcibly placing them into chairs when angry, and showing clear favoritism. Children who were not favored were subjected to this mistreatment regularly, which was heartbreaking to see. This was especially shocking given that it’s a private nursery, where higher standards should be expected. Unfortunately, the nursery manager appeared indifferent to these issues, creating a culture where such behavior was overlooked. Parents should be aware of the environment their children are in, and I strongly urge management to take immediate action to address these practices and ensure proper care and respect for all children.

From the first viewing I had this warm feeling about this nursery and opposite to any others nearby I had confidence to leave my then young child with the staff of this nursery. This was back in 2018. Throughout the years that my child continued his journey in this same nursery I was pleased to know I could also come and speak to the manager of this site or with the teachers about my child's development plan, improvements or even mother's concerns. Communication was always 💯 there and anytime I wished I could call up and find out how is my child doing. Always followed dietary instructions and respected my parenting decisions. This nursery was the best choice and now that my son nearly finished his journey here can 200% recommend this to any parent. Thank you to all staff members for taking care of my child through passed years.
