I am posting this for general awareness so that parents who go to this nursery are aware of the procedures and policies being ignored by senior members of staff, assaulting young infants and directly going against parental boundaries. My partner observed observed the *Centre director/ Nursery manager (most senior staff on site)* kiss our baby on the face (by their eye / upper cheek). She kissed them several 3-5 times. My partner told the manager not to do this, and reminded her that we clearly stated we do not consent to this and we were informed kissing was against their policy and therefore the manager (most senior staff on site) had gone against the nursery policy which I find *incredible*. The manager apologised and said she wasn’t aware of no kissing for our baby, or about a no kissing policy and apologised. My partner asked to ensure all staff are aware of not kissing our baby. My partner then left called me to inform me of the incident. My partner then came back to collect our baby and informed the manager that I was on my way and we will be requesting a formal meeting. In the meeting the manager accepted fault and apologised for kissing our baby and explained that she has informed the general manager and reassured us that it was a mistake and no other staff members have kissed our baby. My partner asked whether their is a no kissing policy in which the manager confirmed there was and so had admitted to breaking the policy and lying previously about not knowing about no kissing babies. During the confidential meeting, a member of staff attempted to come in where she was told by the manager to not come in as we were having a confidential meeting, despite this the member of staff still barged her way into the meeting whilst she kissed her teeth. This is rude, incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional which further questions the professionalism of the staff at *Busybees Nursery at Leytonstone* Please note that prior to signing up to the nursery myself and my partner were reassured there was no kissing from staff members and that they use minimal amount of physical affection as necessary. This was the one thing we were mainly concerned about and expressed our concerns about this and how much it meant to us. We even explained to staff and the nursery manager during the show around that we had viewed another nursery and had seen a member of staff kissing a child and had made a formal complaint to ofstead regarding this and they both agreed that it was wrong and stated that they don’t do this at *Busybees Nursery at Leytonstone*. This incident occurred seconds of our baby being passed to the nursery manager and in no circumstance ever is it necessary for a member of staff to kiss a baby multiple times on their face, especially when parents have clearly stated that they do consent to this. This is a health and safety concern and risks spreading infections and diseases to a young and vulnerable baby. There is also no cctv inside the nursery building which personally makes me uncomfortable, especially as this incident happened infront of us I hate to think what goes on not infront of parents. I am glad that my partner saw this incident happen first hand, but of course furious that it happened in the first place. I believe that the nursery manager referred themselves to the relevant safeguarding agency and was under investigation regarding this matter. This is something to be aware off, I’m just spreading awareness and although we didn’t report to the police at the time, *Under UK law, any intentional, non-consensual physical contact—including an unwanted cheek kiss—can be considered common assault (or battery). When parents explicitly set a boundary against touching or kissing their infant and that boundary is violated, it constitutes a battery and can be reported to the police.*

I cannot ask for a more caring nursery. The attention busy bees have to learn the individual needs and personality of my children is just amazing. I am a parent who over thinks and calls up when I feel to, not once have they made me feel like I cannot do so. Both my children have an attachment to their key workers aswell as Nikki the amazing centre director. Busy bees is everything I could have hoped for and more. I would recommend them to any parent who is looking for a nursery. My daughter's personality has flourished since starting here her development is higher than that of her age. My son who is non verbal and not trusting of any one apart from his parents. Now loves all the staff runs on to greet them in his own way. The support I have gotten from the staff regarding his extra needs has been something that I cannot thank them enough for. As a parent with 2 under 3s who was feeling overwhelmed about returning to work Busy bees put all my worries to rest. Thank you to Nikki and all the staff at the nursery.

I wouldn’t recommend this nursery to anyone. Despite having available spaces, their communication is appalling and shows a complete lack of care. After submitting my application online, I waited five days with no response. When I finally called them, I was told someone would get back to me that day or the next—but unsurprisingly, no one ever did. A week later, I called again, only to be met with the same dismissive response. This time, I was spoken to very rudely and told, quite bluntly, that there was nothing they could do. To make matters worse, when you visit the nursery, they don’t even provide a proper fee breakdown. Instead, they email you a generic list that’s already available online, which gives no clarity about the costs when free hours are applied. The lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic respect is shocking and incredibly disappointing. Don’t waste your time.

Terrible communication and professionalism. I had to wait a million moons to pay a fee, never got a call back unless I rang numerous times. while at work resorted to emailing them. Finally got to set up my child's place then after all of that to find out there is no 15 hour funding when my child is due to start the settling in stage. Very very annoyed as I felt I should have been told when I handed in the application at the start as well as on the phone. I have decided to find a better nursery because I do not need the headache.
