  My son absolutely loves the nursery and has been going since he was 9 months. He has progressed and learnt so much. I feel as if the nursery is very safe and secure and have good procedures in place. Thank you for everything you do!

  We thought carefully about whether to leave a review, but ultimately felt it was important to share our experience. The core staff are kind, caring and have lovely relationships with the children. However, we had serious concerns about the nursery’s security and safety procedures. One of our biggest concerns was the lack of CCTV and the security of the front entrance. Parents regularly held the door open for others to enter, making it possible for people to walk straight in. We raised this concern with the nursery on several occasions, but unfortunately the issue continued. Our son suffered a broken foot while playing in the garden. We completely understand that accidents happen, but the incident was unwitnessed and, because there was no CCTV anywhere on the premises, it wasn’t possible to establish what had happened. As a result, he remained at nursery for the rest of the day without appropriate first aid or further assessment because staff were unaware of the extent of his injury. We collected him unable to walk, with a visibly swollen foot, and a trip to A&E that evening confirmed he had sustained a fracture. Had CCTV been available, it may have been possible to review the incident sooner and identify that he needed urgent medical assessment. The nursery’s investigation then took several months to complete, and unfortunately we were left with no answers about how the injury had occurred. Ultimately, these concerns led us to withdraw our son from the nursery. We were also concerned by the inconsistent enforcement of a no-outdoor-shoes policy in the baby room. Seeing outdoor shoes worn in an area where babies crawl and frequently put toys and objects in their mouths did not inspire confidence. We also felt the setting itself looked tired and could have been cleaner. It’s a real shame because the staff themselves are genuinely caring and do their best, but for us the concerns around security, safety and the overall environment outweighed the positives.

  I visited 12 nurseries in the area, before choosing this one for my son when he was around 18 months. It was the nursery where I felt the staff were most bonded with the children and devoted to their all-round wellbeing. The staff genuinely care about every achievement of each child. My son is now 4 and preparing to go to primary school, and the nursery has set him up excellently to move on - they have helped his confidence, interest in learning and social skills with his peers. This is, in my opinion, the best nursery in the area.

  My son is very happy here and has built relationships with the other children and staff. I'm amazed by what he learns and the nursery have always been very supportive and engaging.
