  From the moment my beautiful wife Sadie came into their care, we felt completely supported and reassured. We just knew that while in their care, Sadie would be treated with such dignity, gentleness and respect, as if she were one of their own. A special thank you to Chloe, who went above and beyond at every step. She kept me informed throughout, guided me with such kindness and care, and made what could have been an overwhelming process feel supported and safe. She never made it feel like “just a job”. It was clear she genuinely cared, and that meant everything. The team understood how deeply loved Sadie was and how important it was that her day reflected that. Thanks to their compassion, attention to detail and unwavering support, Sadie’s day was as special and as beautiful as it should always have been. I truly couldn’t have asked for more. Their care, reassurance, guidance and kindness will stay with me always.

  Jenny and the whole team were fantastic at organising my granddaughters funeral. They went above and beyond and I wouldn't of wanted anyone else doing it. They are all caring, respectful and professional at their jobs. If I could give more stars I would

  The whole team at Richard Barnes are exceptional from Jenny to the team on the day of the funeral, they were all very professional and caring and kind , thank you all for everything you did for my dad and your kindness towards me and my family

  I felt compelled to write a review after seeing a negative rating which has very much skewed the view of what I consider to be the most compassionate, professional and well organised funeral directors. They have gently and thoughtfully guided us through the process of planning 2 funerals in our family this year. Their knowledge is incredible and we have completely felt in safe hands. At such distressing times I cannot imagine that another service could do a better job than the staff team at Richard Barnes.

  The best funeral directors I've dealt with - and I've handled the deaths of both my parents and parents-in-law. Very sensitive treatment and personal service even though my father-in-law was under a funeral plan (not co-op!). They organised everything extremely well and provided a celebrant who seemed like a family member on the occasion. Excellent service.
