- KNKimberley NieldJun 8, 20265.0Apsley Busy Bees is a wonderful setting who support our daughter very well. They are professional and very caring. They focus on her developmental milestones and give us regular updates on her progress. Her confidence has grown immensely and we are so grateful.
- AIA IbrahimJan 13, 20261.0We have probably seen The majority of nurseries in Hemel Hempstead. This by a long stretch is by far the worst nursery we have visited. As well as the quickest tour we went on due to the fact that the person that was showing us around was not from that particular nursery and they didn’t bother showing us the whole nursery just the one room. But the one room was more than enough for us to decide, we would never take our child there to be neglected like that they took us to the baby room and all the babies there were crying and screaming. You can hear it from the entrance of the nursery, which was our first Red flag. All the kids had runny noses, Which those that were looking after the kids did not bother to wipe. there were two female care providers that were quite young and seemed very inexperienced and didn’t seem to care about the well-being of the children. There was also one baby that was on the floor right next to the door as it was being opened and it could’ve easily been hit when the person that was showing us around open the door for us to get into the room. The woman explaining the nursery had no clue as to what she was saying she couldn’t care less and there was no safety protocols around Phones just asked for ID and it seemed like she didn’t know what she was looking at. From the first five minutes of being in this nursery, I knew that I would never take my child here. I advise anyone looking at nurseries to not waste your time and skip viewing this nursery altogether.

How do I set up an account for UP?
If you are a Busy Bees parent, just enter the email address you have registered with nursery. This will be the same email that your invoices are sent to. If you are not sure which email address you have used you can check with your nursery manager. If you are a Busy Bees practitioner, your manager will provide you with your log in details.
How will I know if my child is settling in?
Starting nursery is an emotional time, for you as well as for your child. After all, it’s a big step! So, we’ll do everything we can to help your child settle in and give you peace of mind.
Before your child starts nursery, you're welcome to come for a settling-in session. During the session, you'll have the chance to watch your child explore nursery and interact with other children and staff. We'll also assign your child a Key Person. Their Key Person is your dedicated contact while your child is at nursery, and they'll keep you updated on their progress each day. If there are any problems at all, they'll let you know. My child's a really fussy eater. Can I send them to nursery with a packed lunch?
For lots of children and for all kinds of reasons, food can be a bit tricky. In fact, that’s exactly why we don’t allow packed lunches or snacks from home at our nurseries; many of the children in our care have allergies, and we just can’t put their safety at risk.
Instead, we provide fresh and tasty breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks at every one of our nurseries. Our menus are healthy, varied, and NHS approved, and we cater for special dietary requirements, cultural food choices, allergies, and fussy eaters, so every child can look forward to tasty food they love to eat.
