I’m writing as the daughter of a current resident who has resided in independent living at Harmony of Savannah for over 3 years. My mother enjoys her neighbors, her apartment, and some of the social events. The building and grounds are nice, and the staff themselves are kind people doing their best.
Unfortunately, the services promised during move‑in have not been delivered. Housekeeping has been inconsistent for three years and completely absent this year, despite being included in the rent, which increases annually. Staff turnover is constant, maintenance and food quality are hit or miss, and transportation is very limited. Weekend staffing and activities are minimal, leaving residents to organize their own community life.
Communication from management and corporate is poor. Emails about rent increases or other matters go unanswered, directors come and go, and concerns raised by the residents’ council are mostly ignored. Recently, the entire independent living floor was even placed on an “ice cream restriction,” which felt disrespectful to adults paying $3,500–$4,500 a month.
My mother has made the best of it and loves her community, but families should know that the amenities and services do not match what is promised during the sales process. Harmony has potential, but until leadership follows through, the experience remains disappointing.

My first Christmas at Harmony@Savannah! My one bedroom apartment on the first floor is wonderful. Able to walk my ShihTsu,
Chip on the paved walking paths, right off my porch! Staff is incredible, dinners delicious ( desserts, maybe, a little too good! Lol. Always something to do, from activities within the building to the many outings to supermarkets, malls, restaurants on Harmony’s transportation. Lovely new friends❤️

My father was in assisted living at Harmony for several years. What is happening at Harmony is bordering on negligence. There are some very nice staff members, however no one appears to be in charge. Communication is nonexistent, as is accountability. Unless there is a massive overhaul in oversight and leadership, do not consider this location.
Moving a loved one into an assisted living facility is not an easy decision nor a simple task, but it helps when the place you choose has the facilities and resources to help make the transition run smoothly. I have been so pleased with the staff and services provided by Harmony at Savannah. It truly is a wonderful, caring community. The staff there has been so easy to work with. Taylor Murdoch was helpful with our initial meetings and community tour as we made our decision. The Executive Director, Monica Lee, has been nothing short of AMAZING. She has been there for us personally at every step of the process of moving into the community. She has impressed me so much with her responsiveness, professionalism and leadership of an amazing staff that truly cares about their residents. The caregivers on the second floor have been so caring and attentive to my mom and stepdad. Big load off my mind. Special shout out also to Matt Reinsel who helped tremendously with the logistics of moving in and Chef Brian (BA) Smith who is cooking some great food! If you are looking for that next phase of your loved one’s life, I highly recommend Harmony at Savannah.
