Brightmoor Nursing Center Provides short-term and long term Rehabilitation Services, Long Term Care, and 24 Hour Skilled Nursing to the Griffin, GA Area.
Brightmoor is set apart by the people who work there. I want to give a huge shout out to Nina. She not only dresses my mother daily but styles her hair for her. She goes above and beyond in every aspect of care. The halls are full of friendly faces, making this a special place full of friends, and a community.

This facility has shown extreme negligence and a complete lack of compassion toward its residents. My grandmother was left in the bathroom overnight without her oxygen for several hours. When she called out for help, staff members raised their voices at her instead of assisting her.
We later found out that staff had been turning off her overnight noninvasive ventilator while she was asleep because they said it was “too loud.” The deprivation of oxygen caused her to experience hallucinations, and we ultimately had to call 911 to have her transported to the hospital.
When we tried to speak with staff about what happened, one of them openly said that they didn’t care. That response alone speaks volumes. It’s clear that this facility does not care about its patients or their well-being.
I would strongly urge anyone considering this place for their loved one to look elsewhere. No family should have to experience this kind of neglect or disrespect.

My mom recently spent 3 1/2 weeks here. It was not a positive experience. I’ll start though with positives. We call this place lipstick on a pig. It looks the part. I would rate cleanliness as a positive. My mom also received three good meals a day. She gained needed weight. One physical therapist was creative and cared. She explained how my mom needed 3-4 more weeks. We made sure it was covered. Apparently her boss wanted the bed. They met less than 24 hours later- decided my mom would be released- waited the weekend and then Monday informed us they changed their minds. Strangely this was based on no data. My mom did zero new workouts to change their mind. They had yet to allow her to use a Walker in the halls but decided she could go home to be alone. The physical therapy supervisor was rude and condescending and uncaring on the phone- once said-“:I am just waiting for you to stop talking” to me.
The other huge issue is baths. My mom arrived on a Monday after 4 days in a hospital and it took two days of stalling to evaluate if she was healthy enough to bathe. When I called to complain they said all she had to do was request. Well they have no list. They deny you request. Day shift says they tell night shift. It was 9 full days before she got a bath. Then each week getting a requested bath was a struggle. In 25 days mom was able to get 4:baths. Apparently only Tuesday was bath day and an elderly person asking to bathe is ignored. That in itself is pathetic.
Communication is terrible. They are always in meetings or leaving to go out the door. I spoke to the front desk lady so much she recognized my name when I spoke with her on discharge day. I told her that over 3 plus weeks she left 10-12 messages for me and I NEVER received one call back. No administrator or supervisor ever called. I called about baths, medicine, PT, and release date. My wife had to drive three hours to get information and then they told us one thing and decided a different thing the next day. I never felt like anyone other than one PT lady ever cared for my mom. Lots of employees doing everything they can to not work. It was inconvenient to ask for a cup of ice or a small salt packet.
A top heavy supervisor panel that provides no customer service. 8 days in we had a voice meeting with 7 different supervisors to explain a plan and what was being done. Then we never heard back until she was being sent home. We didn’t even get papers at discharge. We had to find a way to set up refills and their social worker dropped the ball on home health. Communication gaps are huge. My mom didn’t want me to be an advocate out of fear it would get worse. Peachtree Piedmont had this facility as a 4 star. I only give it two for the food and one lone PT lady. The rest of this facility is an F. They are collecting government money and providing minimal care with poor communication. Do not select this facility.

Brightmoor Nursing Center has been a blessing to mom, my sister and I. Mom wasn’t getting better after multiple hospitalization and unfortunately we couldn’t provide the care she needs at home. Enter Brightmoor Nursing Center. They love her and she has blossomed there. She has friends, activities, and loves picking with the staff. There are some truly amazing staff that care. From the environmental services to the administration they care. I truly believe we would have buried mama this year if she wasn’t in the nursing center. I will never be able to say THANK YOU enough.

Thank you ❤️ There are no words to express my gratitude to Brightmoor. They went above and beyond to take care of my mother. When your mother looks at her nurse and says I Love you, it makes the experience so much easier. I was afraid but prayed and trusted God when it came to placement. I Thank God for them everyday.
