  My mother is a resident of Manor Lake in Ellijay, and as a testimonial I would like to state that I have rarely been as impressed with any nursing/assisted living facility as I have been Manor lake. I am a paramedic and nurse and have experience with both types of facilities! The staff, the facility and the care provided by them are one of the best I have experienced!

  Do NOT take your loved one to this place. My grandmother significantly declined in only 4 months of living at this facility. The staff blatantly lied to me and my family regarding her health. She got to the point where she was unable to feed herself and was not assisted. She was a diabetic so she was hospitalized because of their negligence to help her eat. When this hospitalization happened, she was sent to the hospital in the same clothes she had been wearing for 4 days and urine stained bedding. My family immediately removed her from Manor Lake. The director was made aware of this complaint to state long term care division and was told "it's their word against ours". My heart breaks for the rest of the residents that live there because I know my grandmother isn't the only one that has been mistreated. It is with great sadness that I mention we lost my grandmother on February 16th. My heart aches with everything she endured while she was at this facility, but hope to bring awareness to prevent anyone else from feeling this way.

  My husband was in Blueridge Assisted Living and Memory Care. He became a resident in August 2022. Between August and May they had 12 caregivers leave, three Administrators, first two were terrible and three memory unit directors. The staff were always pleasant and the new administrator and memory unit director are professional, however I have no confidence in the corporation. They don’t care about the facility. I moved my husband to Manor Lake which is 20 minutes further for me. A forty minute trip, but it was worth it. The staff is wonderful. The people from the head administrator down are fantastic and very reachable. Director of memory unit is very experienced and morale is high. The caregivers are the same ones you see on the different shifts unlike Blueridge facility where there are new people each day. I am satisfied that he is in good hands. Last Saturday we celebrated my husband’s 90th birthday at the beautiful club house Manor Lake offers for special occasions for your love one who is a resident. I cannot say enough about this facility. Staff is wonderful, easy to converse with anyone in administration, clean, good food and snacks always available. My husband has stated that he is happy there. Everyone who has visited him including at his party were very impressed with the Memory Care Unit.

  The social activities for residents are phenomenal! Encourages interaction and comraderie among residents which is an intregal part of aging gracefully.
