  Update: within 24 hrs of this post I received a personal call from a corporate employee and he could not have been nicer or more empathetic to the situation. As they say, "it's not what happens to you, it's how you respond to it." His call was very enlightening and it sounds like extremely positive changes in this sector are in progress as a top priority. The professionalism of the call really stood out and I'm excited to see what lies ahead in these regards. As I shared with him, my father spent the last 7 mos of his life there and my family and i are completely confident they were the best 7 mos we could've given him relative to his dementia. Highly recommend this property. Initial post: Corso is hands down the most beautiful retirement facility in Atlanta and possibly the southeast. We've been very happy with the care both my parents have received in Memory Care. However, the most glaring drawback to this community is the food is horrible. Apparently this has been an ongoing problem for 3 years and no chef stays for more than a few mos or so due to overwork and lousy pay. It's an absolute shame because we pay premium fees, yet the food quality pales in comparison to the rest of the property. It's such a focal point though because the people depend on it for their meals. This has been brought to management countless times and the only response is "we're working on it." No one seems to care. It just doesn't seem to fit with the outward appearance of the property from a visual perspective. If they could get this piece right, there would be no question about the true luxury of this property.

  Every time I walk through the doors of Corso Atlanta I feel the presence of something special. The entrance, the front desk, and the "signature scent" all create a welcoming environment. The sales team and care staff serve their residents, families, and guests at such a high level. Suzanne in sales did two amazing tours with clients of ElderVizor this week. I cannot express how much she made us feel welcomed and made us feel heard. This place is beyond 5 stars!

  Corso is a gem. The compassionate staff and resort-like atmosphere make residents feel like they are part of a family. They offer delicious food, beautiful grounds built at a human scale, and endless activities. With top-notch amenities and exceptional care, Corso provides a perfect balance of comfort and peace of mind. It’s a place to live, not just exist. Highly recommend!

  My mother had the great privilege of living the last nine months of her life at Corso Atlanta. It was a positive experience for both of us; I live close by and it was easy for me to visit. As you can see online, the building and the decor are beautiful, but even better are the people. The memory care staff, led by the great Selina, were wonderful to my mother and to me as well. I still miss them. I will never forget how they treated her, especially in her very last days. I felt like they cared for her then as they would their own mother. The entire memory care floor is bright and airy and clean. If your loved one tends to wander, there is space to walk around while still being safe and sound. When I came to visit in the evenings, my mother and I enjoyed walking throughout the main floor. There is something different to see around every corner. And interesting artwork everywhere. We especially enjoyed visiting the Creperie for ice cream and cookies. Aster would always greet us with a big smile and would immediately start scooping my mother’s favorite flavor of ice cream. My mother enjoyed interacting with the other residents even though Alzheimer’s had stolen many of her words. Residents and staff downstairs were kind and gentle and encouraging and treated her with respect and dignity, and made her feel like her old self. A few times her old friends visited. One time we all ate in the main dining room and one time we just had coffee in the sunroom overlooking the courtyard. There are also several sitting areas with working fireplaces. It’s such a nice setting to visit with friends and family. I am so thankful that we found Corso! Thank you!
