  My mother moved to Addington Place three years ago. We choose Addington because of its reputation. What we found was a staff that is highly engaged with the community. From receptionists to marketing staff, nurses and managers, the entire staff makes it their priority to interact with residents and their families . There is no problem too small or no time too inconvenient to talk with and seek help from the people who work at Addington. They all got to know my mother and made it their business to connect and make sure she was safe and doing well. They assisted me to find aides, to got her medical care and to make sure she remained active and engaged, even as her health declined. My mother felt comfortable at Addington. She was treated with respect and dignity. I am grateful to the many professionals I got to know there and to those who showed my mother kindness whom I never met.

  Really super great so far. Came looking after hurricanes and got on the wait list. Had excellent follow up and contacts with Royce- he took all my calls and concerns with full attention knowing that we were looking at many places. Remember- every place had so many people looking and in need after the storms- we were not treated like a number- we were kept in the loop and on the wait list. During the wait our person got better and we were able to move our need to independent living - as soon as I let Royce know he called (literally within 14 minutes of emailing). Went over and picked the apartment within hours. We are very happy with the move, the staff, the facility, food, care - all of it. And knowing they have assisted living, skilled nursing, wound care specialists, dentists, podiatrist, PT, OT- everything available is really a huge help. Administration DOES answer and respond too. Well run and cozy.

  Following my knee replacement I recently spent nearly three weeks in the Addington Place Skilled Nursing Unit. Little did I expect such an engaging experience. Thanks to Rob, Ryan and Nyisha their intense PT/OT had me recovering quickly. Danny urged me to eat in the dining room where I made new friends. He is a joy to watch taking care of the residents. Daily activities helped chase away boredom. RN's, CNA's and Housekeeping staff including Suzette, Janice, AJ, Dee, Tshawn, Malika, Beverly, Alix, Patrick, Monica and others helped make my needs met. Addington is lucky to have them. My one bit of advice is to stay flexible and try to learn how the system works. It isn't always clear who does what or when. It's a big job taking care of the many varied needs. I came away grateful my surgeon recommended Skilled Nursing and going to Addington Place made all the difference.

  We toured the Addington Place a possible new community for my mother, John was AMAZING, patient, thoughtful and very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond as we walked and took our time exploring the entire community. It is a beautiful location and gorgeous grounds.
