During this difficult time Michael and Amber were a great help. They went above and beyond with information to help us through this process. Things we did not even think of were explained to us by them. Both truly cared about helping us. Our family would like to thank the staff for all they have done. I highly recommend Conrad and Thompson.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the entire team at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home, especially Amber, Mr. Michael, Mr. Tony, and the kind ladies who so gently supported us yesterday.
During one of the most difficult moments of our lives, you made the process of saying goodbye to our mother feel more bearable. Your compassion, warmth, and genuine care did not go unnoticed—we truly felt supported and, above all, at home.
That feeling is priceless when facing the loss of a loved one. Thank you for giving us that peace and for everything you did for our family.
With heartfelt appreciation,

The caring professionals at Conrad and Thompson Funeral Home were so comforting and so accommodating as they helped me plan and carry out final arrangements for my wife. Amber was respectful and kind as we discussed the arrangements to be made and duties to be handled by her and myself. At a time in your life where stress can be overwhelming it’s wonderful to have people supporting you. I will always remember the care shown to me and my departed loved one.

Conrad Thompson funeral home in Kissimmee did right by us. Michael could not have been any better.
During a very difficult and unexpected time for our family, we had to rely on a funeral home while we were traveling out of state after the sudden passing of a loved one. Being away from home made an already heartbreaking situation even more overwhelming, but the staff at this funeral home showed extraordinary compassion, professionalism, and care from the very beginning.
They guided us through every step of the process with patience and understanding, explaining everything clearly and helping us make the necessary arrangements without ever making us feel rushed or pressured. Their kindness and empathy meant so much to us during such an emotional time.
The facility itself was clean, peaceful, and very well maintained, providing a comforting environment for our family to gather and remember our loved one. Every detail was handled with dignity and respect, which helped bring a sense of calm during a very stressful situation.
What stood out most was how the staff treated our loved one and our family—with genuine care, respect, and sensitivity. Even though we were far from home, they made us feel supported and reassured that our family member was in good hands.
We are deeply grateful for the compassion and professionalism shown to us during one of the hardest moments our family has faced. We truly appreciate everything they did to help us through such an unexpected loss. When something like this happens and you’re away from home you do not have time to comparison-shop. I highly recommend them. Doug
Frequently Asked Questions About Conrad and Thompson Funeral Home
Can we scatter the cremated remains?
If you wish to have your ashes scattered somewhere, it is important to discuss your wishes to be scattered ahead of time with the person or persons who will actually have to do the cremation ashes scattering ceremony, as they might want to let your funeral professional assist in the scattering ceremony. Funeral directors can also be very helpful in creating a meaningful and personal ash scattering ceremony that they will customize to fit your families specific desires. The services can be as formal or informal as you like. Scattering services can also be public or private. Again, it is advisable to check for local regulations regarding scattering in a public place-your funeral director can help you with this.
If I am cremated, can I be buried with my spouse even if he or she was in a casket?
Yes — Depending upon the cemetery's policy, you may be able to save a grave space by having the cremains buried on top of the casketed remains of your spouse, or utilize the space provided next to him/her. Many cemeteries allow for multiple cremated remains to be interred in a single grave space.
What do I need to know about income tax when I lose a spouse?
Uncertainty about income tax issues can add to the stress experienced from the death of a spouse. You should meet with your family attorney and/or tax advisor as soon as possible to review your particular tax and estate circumstances. Bring a detailed list of your questions to the meeting. If you do not have an attorney or tax advisor, call the IRS toll-free at 800-829-1040 for answers to specific tax questions.
Is there financial help if I need it?
There are a number of options available, including:
Determine if the deceased person qualifies for any entitlements. Check with the Social Security Administration, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and with your State Fund. Many people are entitled to get financial assistance with their funeral costs from these agencies if they qualify.
Review all insurance policies the deceased person has, including life insurance. Some life insurance policies have coverage clauses for funeral related costs.
Find local charities providing financial help for funeral expenses. Search for non profit organizations and for churches in your area.
Talk to your funeral director about cremation options - these can be much less expensive depending on your choices.
Do I need to have an embalming?
No. In fact, some religions forbid embalming. Some countries do require embalming by law in order for remains to leave or enter the country. If it is not against your religious custom, embalming is generally recommended, especially if there is an extended gap between death and burial or cremation.
