  Con mucha tristeza quiero decir que solicité un cita con el obispo y me la otorgaron pero al llegar y esperar por el obispo a la hora de mi cita fui ignorada y el solo se limitó ah decirme ah es usted quien quería hablar conmigo? Pero mejor vaya con la presidente de sociedad de socorro y siguió su camino. Después la presidente de la sociedad de socorro me dijo que estaba muy ocupada y que le pidiera a alguien su teléfono y la llamara después porque ese día miércoles estaba muy ocupada y no podía atenderme. No tuvo ni la delicadeza de darme su número y también desapareció dejandome ignorarada. Esa fue la primera y última vez que quiero acercarme a esta capilla. Soy miembro desde el 2000 pero vengo desde otra ciudad. Mi recomendación sería bueno instruir a los integrantes de estos cargos tener más educación y amor con la obra del señor. Las escrituras nos enseñan que debemos ser amorosos y humildes con nuestros hermanos y no por tener un cargo ver a los otros por debajo de nuestros hombros con arrogancia. Ese no es el principio que enseña nuestras escrituras. Que tristeza y pena siento porque quizá haya mas personas se hayan sentido igual que yo.

  I’ve been a member for many years and recently moved to the Hollywood location. My mother had a scheduled appointment with Bishop Claudio Alvarado on a Wednesday evening. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet and interact with several bishops, many of whom have been kind, respectful, and compassionate. Unfortunately, our experience with Bishop Claudio Alvarado was deeply disappointing. Despite my mother having a confirmed appointment, the interaction felt dismissive and discourteous. There was no greeting, no acknowledgment, and no sense of basic courtesy. My mother respectfully introduced herself and reminded him that she had an appointment with him. His response, “Uh, was it you?” was both surprising and disheartening. More importantly, she was not given any meaningful opportunity to speak or explain the purpose of the meeting. Instead, we were simply directed to speak with someone else. The entire experience left us feeling unheard and unwelcome. I found myself asking a very simple question: Is this how members are meant to be treated when they seek guidance or support? This situation was genuinely upsetting for us, particularly for my mother, who approached the meeting with respect and sincerity. I believe that leadership roles carry not only responsibility but also an expectation of empathy, patience, and basic human decency. Bye.

  We visited this church while on a family vacation. We found the church members here to be friendly and welcoming. We felt such a comforting spirit and heard the gospel of Jesus Christ taught in the meetings.
