  I recently made the very difficult decision to move my father into a new memory care community, and while we ultimately chose another location based on location, I want to share how truly incredible our experience was with Sonata of Delray Beach. From the moment we walked in, Jim, the Executive Director, made us feel genuinely welcomed. His warmth, openness, and heartfelt dedication to the residents and families were clear from the start. I actually referenced him when speaking to other communities as the gold standard for what leadership should look like in a care setting. Anecia was another standout. Her ability to understand and articulate exactly how I was feeling—sometimes before I could even put it into words—was so comforting. Her compassion and emotional intelligence make a world of difference during such a vulnerable time. And Martine is a true advocate. You can tell she goes to bat for every resident and family, and her passion for creating a meaningful, thoughtful memory care program is inspiring. Although we chose a different community based on the nearness to family. I left Sonata with such deep respect and appreciation. The people at Sonata of Delray Beach are not only professionals—they are deeply kind, intuitive, and dedicated individuals. There may be no perfect answer when it comes to care, but being surrounded by people like this makes the journey so much more bearable. I wholeheartedly recommend taking the time to visit Sonata if you are exploring memory care options for a loved one.

  In looking for an assisted living for my aunt, I chose sonata because they seem to be caring and compassionate, visiting her while she was in the rehab a few times. In May as well as the month of June plus the 1500 community fee. My aunt was there 3 and 1/2 days and then was taken to the hospital on may 27 in an ambulance. She was in ICU for 3 days then placed in hospice care within the hospital where she died 10 days later. During that time no one from sonata came to visit her. I told them she wasn't returning and yet now they won't refund the entire month of June as I was told they would. They're only refunding me from June 9th which is not what I was told. I thought this place was different and they cared about the individual but I'm very disappointed to say that they do not. This is a business and they're all about the money.

  It is such a heart wrenching emotional journey when you realize you are no longer able to take care of your parents. I vetted over 7 places in the area and interviewed their staff. Sonata Delray has what I consider to be the Ritz Carlton of staff - these people are who we are relying on to truly care for our family. Director Paul is truly trustworthy Suzanne is genuine and from the heart doing her best to guide us in these very vulnerable times in life. Jose the man in charge of my dads building is so conscientious of doing his best to keep my dads quality of life he’s a beautiful soul and ALL the staff, to me, are genuinely trying to bring positivity they are not just there for a paycheck a vibe you get in many other similar places. Thank you all I am humbled and appreciative of what you do for my dad Don.
