I love Granville of Deland!! First of all the community is absolutely gorgeous! Second of all, but should've been first- the staff is phenomenal. The Sales team rocks and so does the executive director! I would move my family member into This wonderful community and have dinner with her every night so I can have the wonderful food they serve!

Was looking at the facility the other day. Looks like an exceptional place to retire. There are activities, services, meals and various levels of care.

I called in early December to ask if I could schedule a visit for the week of Christmas, when I'd be in town to visit my parents, since my father's condition continues to deteriorate and I'm worried about how much longer my mother can care for him. We scheduled an appointment for Dec. 24 at 10:00, but due to last minute scheduling conflicts, I had to call around 8:30 that morning to ask if I could reschedule. The person who answered the phone couldn't reschedule for me but said someone would return my call. No one did. Around 9:30 on Friday, I called back to explain that I'd called to cancel and reschedule on Wednesday morning and again asked to reschedule, hopefully for some time on Friday. After putting me on hold for a few minutes, the person who answered returned to say that the person in charge of such visits wasn't in yet but would return my call later. No one ever returned my calls. That's unfortunate, as my parents live very close to the facility in Deland, and I'd hoped they might work with me, but after this treatment, I don't think I'd trust them to provide care for either of my parents.
