  My grandmother moved here several years ago after living independently after my grandfather died. She was at first reluctant to moving to a community like this, but since then she has really got her spark back. Having her at this community has provided the family with reassurance that she will always have safety and someone watching over her when we cannot be there and she loves all of the activities, the friends and the staff :)

  We are very pleased, satisfied and comfortable with the staff and accommodations that the Keystone has provided for our dad. Our questions and concerns with the process of moving our parent to an assisted living facility have been dealt with both professionally and personally by Allen, Sharon and the staff, providing follow through and ease with his move. More importantly our dad has always been treated with dignity, concern and kindness. He has definitely benefitted from the socialization, restaurant style dining and oversight provided daily. Organized social activities for holidays and special occasions are extended to family further making the experience homelike. The biggest compliment to his new home is how comfortable he feels there.

  The team and facility at Keystone Place provide an environment and level of care unmatched in northwest Connecticut. Like most families, I suspect, we were very concerned about whether my mother would ever agree to a move to assisted living. With the help of the Keystone Place advisors, the transition progressed smoothly. And now, after 6 months there, my mother is happier and safer in her new home. The facility is maintained in impeccable condition. And while most organizations struggle to find and retain good help, somehow Keystone Place has developed a roster of well-trained and truly caring individuals. We are extremely grateful for the care that my mother is receiving.

  It’s been 2 years since my beloved grandmother moved into Keystone Place at Newburyport Brook (as of Sept. 2020). It was a tough decision to leave her condo after 20+ years but she was welcomed into the Keystone family from the moment we stepped through the door for a tour and information session. The Staff was warm, informative and overall wonderful. It took my grandma about 2 days to think about it and realize that this was the best option - and then to become excited about it. Within 4 weeks, she was moving into her new apartment with enthusiasm! Over the last two years, much to our family’s joy, nothing has changed. The staff remains friendly and treats her like one of their own. They know us (family) by name when we visit and have created an environment for their residents that affords them the ability to just LIVE and enjoy it. It’s a true community. It’s safe. It’s joyful. It’s exactly what my grandmother and her family need. I cannot recommend Keystone Place enough. We have been and will be eternally grateful for all they afforded our family!
