Our family was disappointed by our experience at this school. While the program may work well for some children, it became clear that it is not equipped to support children who require flexibility, patience, or individualized approaches.
Families considering this school should be aware that if their child does not fit a narrow set of expectations, this may not be a supportive environment. Transparency, advance communication, and inclusive practices are critical in early childhood education, and we did not experience those consistently here.

I booked two times of backup care services at Bright Horizon's yale New Haven hospital early learning center at 501 George street, for kids' no school day, and neither of them works.
The first time is at September, the front desk administrator refused to check us in because she said we didn’t have the most updated flu shot record — even though our 2020–2023 record was on file and the 2025 flu shot season hadn’t started yet.
Second time, the front desk administrator spend ~10min on checking my kid's paperwork despite I had already uploaded all the required documents on their portal beforehand, and finally she found that one of my kid's pediatrician filled form didn't fill properly (I don't know if it's true, I am not a M.D. after all), which considered "severe wrong" for her and refused to let us check in, again.
I am a work mom with two kids, I simply don’t have time for this unhelpful, nitpicking nonsense anymore. This center has done nothing but waste my Yale backup care benefits. I will never choose this center again, they deserve none of my trust.

My child was also part of the transition from the hospital run day care to Bright Horizons taking over. Overall, matriculated for about 2 years in total. We eventually pulled them from care here given the inconsistencies in staffing, with focus on how much this truly affected the overall care provided, and how some children struggle with transitions more than others. There would be times where I would go to pick them up and there would be teachers and/or center support, as they were called, whom I had never met before nor were we provided with some sort of communication of the new face taking care of our child to avoid surprises. Further, the center leadership was not as helpful as they make themselves out to be. I never had a good conversation with the regional manager in the almost year of Bright Horizons being the service provider. Hopefully they figure out staffing and communication going forward, for the sake of the children and to promote a better environment for families.

I used my back-up care here for 10 days, and we are so satisfied with our experience here. My daughter was so happy here everyday, the teachers are so nice to her, the director is very responsive, and the environment is clean. She told us everyday that she wants to return here the next day. Definitely a five star for them!

Parent Review:
"Our daughter was a part of the transition group from Davenport Avenue to George Street; Bright Horizons staff did a great job of open communication and notifying parents of the changes occurring. I really appreciated the open houses that allowed our daughter to explore her new environment and meet new teachers prior to starting full time. I also enjoy the Bright Horizons app that allows us to be aware of our daughter's day-to-day activities as well as the curriculum every week. There are always so many activities available to the kids, and our daughter has truly blossomed in the toddler program. We're so grateful to the teachers who have provided her with attention and care that have allowed her to grow into the little person she is."
