The only reason this child care center even deserves one star is because the teachers are amazing people and it isn't their fault how poorly the center is run. The admin are lazy, robotic, and lacking empathy. Our child has been bit through every phase of her growth within this center, even though they claim to have policy to prevent this they do not put it into action because in almost all cases the children biting are teachers kids. They prioritize the well being of employee children over paying families and don't care about family concerns. There is no attention in the classrooms because the teachers are dealing with more children than is realistic to provide quality care. There is no support with potty training. They simply let your child wet themselves through out the day. No willingness to work with the child to ask if they need to go to the bathroom. The children are left to their own devices in independent centers where they are playing with scissors and tiny objects unattended by the adults. We pick our daughter up filthy every day, some days with no socks in her shoes (even though we provide ample additional clothing and shoes every day) .. every day our daughter comes home covered in sand because the children throw it around and this is considered out door play. Again, little to no supervision or interaction from staff to intervene in negative behaviors. They don't believe in addressing negative behavior.. they allow it to happen and ignore it putting kids at risk of being hurt because it isn't in their policy to provide any form of discipline. Our daughter has learned a multitude of negative behaviors thanks to these tactics .. all from children of teachers who push and bite and are not held to any discipline standards. Not only has she learned these bad and violent behaviors, but she has learned that it is ok to do so because there are no consequences being taught to prevent future violent actions-- biting, hitting, pushing, throwing sand etc. The admin only cares about asking families to bring in baked goods for them every chance they can. We were met with resistance when we asked to not have male employees change our daughter.. again they cared more for the employees than the paying family. It took escalating the conversation to a regional director on multiple occasions to even be heard here. Even then, no actions were ever taken to help our daughter be safe from persistent biters and aggressive children with behavior issues. When a teachers child was aggressively biting my daughter to the point of breaking skin on multiple occasions rather than removing the biter the only option they offered us was to move our daughter to a new room, disrupting her stability so that they could work on the employees child development and keep him stable so he wouldn't lash out and bite more children. We have had to pick our daughter up to bring her to the emergency room to have things removed from her nose because she was left to her own devices playing with small beads with out supervision. In every instance where our child is hurt or in danger rather than apologizing or accepting responsibility for lack of supervision over a 3 year old... they blame the child. It is her fault she was bit. Every time. If you have low standards of care for your child, this is the place for you. The classroom doors are always notated with infections of lice and other dirty infections. The sanitation is bare minimum to pass state guidelines. Don't be fooled by the zip code .. your child is better off at home. And to top it off.. this is the most expensive option in the area. It's comical. The director is lazy, rude and careless. Her admin are unequipped to communicate beyond the scripts they are provided .. these people don't care about children they care about rotating children through their program to suit their body count needs to make money and keep all spaces filled. If this review helps one family choose a better option for their child then I'm grateful I wrote it. I never write negative reviews.. this was necessary.

The staff at Bright Horizons at Village Place are doing such an amazing job of keeping our kids safe and happy during this crazy pandemic. It's nice to know that when we send our kids to school, the teachers are doing all that they can to keep the kids safe and making sure they learn about proper hygiene in regards to the coronavirus. They have done an amazing job of explaining the changes in the world around us to the kids in an age appropriate way. The teachers also do an excellent job of communicating to parents either by email, phone, or through the My Bright Day app. Our children have participated in their infant, toddler, preschool, and kinder-prep programs. The teachers are so caring. They teach the children to be compassionate, independent, and challenge them to think about their world in a beautiful way. They embrace and celebrate each child's unique abilities, and encourage the kids to be themselves. Our children come home so eager to tell us about their day, their friends, how much they love their teachers, and also how they tackled any obstacles they may have had during the day. We feel confident sending our children to school knowing that they are being cared for so well.

This center truly goes above and beyond any expectations we have ever had in a childcare facility. Choosing Bright Horizons was both the hardest and the best decision we have had to make for our children. Both of our girls have been enrolled since they were four months old and we will be enrolling our newborn son within the next few months. Our oldest just graduated and is excelling in kindergarten. Both of our girls have an absolute love for learning that I know was instilled in them by the staff at Bright Horizons. The teachers and administrators are consistent, compassionate, educated, loving, and enthusiastic. Beyond the highest quality of early childhood education they have provided, and perhaps even more importantly, they have continued to keep my children safe even during this crazy time. I’ve never once doubted the safety of my children in their care. Their COvid procedures are no exception. They are on top of every guideline while still making transitions comfortable for the kids. I truly don’t know what we would do with out this amazing center and staff.
