  I can echo others’ concerns about treatment of staff. While there were many, many excellent CNAs, they were treated so poorly by middle and senior management during the time my loved one lived there. Consequently, the turn over rate of staff was disruptive and the facility relied heavily on agency nurses and CNAs (basically substitutes). We even went through three managers of memory care and two directors of nursing during our nine month residency. That level of turnover illustrates poor, toxic management at senior levels. During our time there, evidently multiple families filed complaints with the CT ombudsman’s office and the CT Dept of Public Health. I believe the Danbury Police were also involved at one point. These complaints are public record and may be obtained by calling each entity. For our family, I’m grateful we had security cameras and highly encourage anyone living in any assisted living to install them. Again, to be clear, for the most part, the people providing direct care were very good to the residents, despite working under very difficult conditions. We ultimately decided to leave after nine months due to a variety of issues, the most serious of which was medication not being dosed properly. The assumption is that happened due to the use of substitute nurses who worked with little to no orientation or oversight. The facility claimed the reason was that the pharmacy must have dispensed too many tablets of a controlled substance. Sorry, not buying it.

  I’ve been to a few events at this lovely senior living community and the staff could not have been more welcoming or professional. The building itself is also very bright and cheerful. Seniors were having fun!

  Cindy was very helpful when we first started searching and throughout the whole process. She is welcoming and a pleasure to talk to. Throughout my short stay at Keystone things have been great. I love the activities we have here, especially Coffee and Nosh. I really like Keystone.

  Cindy had made my transition of moving here so easy. She kept in touch for the whole year, always making me feel sure that I was doing the right thing. Her great personality is very contagious. I love her. Rosie Daley
