Absolutely horrible experience. In addition to having been invited to the church and then being told that I wasn't allowed in the church when I first moved up here, but I was also told that if I ever needed help to give him a text or a call. So I give him a call and let him know the situation of being disabled, low income and needing to move and not having much time to do it in. However, when they all showed up it was originally supposed to be two people turned into over eight people. Nobody wanted to listen to anything. They didn't care if they broke my stuff during the move and then when they did start damaging and breaking my stuff on numerous occasions they had been voicing out loud that it's not their problem. And then after they dismantled every little thing down to the last screw and ball joint, damaging everything in between. They haphazardly just shoved everything into the U-Haul and then abandon us. Even though they said they were going to help us all day, they abandoned us at last minute telling us it was up to us to figure the rest out on our own. Numerous comments had been made these alleged elders of this church. Meanwhile, I don't think a single one of them has gotten out of high school. My experience with them was absolutely horrible and it made the task of moving that much harder cuz even once we do get everything up into the apartment from the U-Haul that they abandoned. I still now have to figure out how to get an engineering degree to go ahead and build everything back that they ended up destroying in the process. Almost every single one of my books was ripped and torn in the process of them packing. Even though all my books had been in a duffel bag already, they decided to take them out of the duffel bag and just throw them everywhere else and then complain about my Harry Potter books. They broke my portable air conditioner as well. They damaged several of the electrical cords that were connecting my TV and my PlayStation things as well. Highly unprofessional if you didn't have the time to help, why did you agree? And why did you tell me you were available all day Saturday? Just only be there for a little over half an hour and decide. Oh we have a busy day today. Well maybe you shouldn't have told me you were available all day. And then when you're abandoning me you tell me oh just get a moving company well hello if you read the first text message I sent, I cannot afford a moving company when they want to charge over $1,600 and I'm on SSI and don't even make over $1,000 and I'm disabled. Unable to do it myself and you see that we have the U-Haul but you're like oh just hold on to it for a week until we're available next again. Which would make the U-Haul just as expensive as the moving truck that I already can't afford. I was dismissed and shoved to the side by everybody unless they wanted to complain about something that had nothing to do with packing and moving my stuff like under what role in the world does it say that I am not allowed to have a library book? I can care less that the book that was already packed that you unpacked happens to be a library book. Yet I kept getting hounded that why do you have a library book? Well, I don't know why does the library let you borrow books? Why are you questioning why I have a library book? Why is it a big deal that one of my books is from the library? People wonder why it is. I don't go to church and it's because whenever I do have experiences with the church this is how they treat me. Or they invite me to the church and then they come to pick me up and then at last minute tell me oh you're not allowed but then keep sitting there asking me why I'm not coming to church every time they talk to me. Just for it to end in the disaster that they put upon me last minute yesterday. Just for them to abandon me after they had tore everything up and tore everything down and then just left. They even left things in the street and on the patio when they abandoned us sitting there. Having to figure out what we're going to do. Do not recommend LDS for anything.
