- JMJennifer MilsteadMar 30, 20175.0I was looking for a church that went against what is trendy in churches. One that is open and accepting. One where I could be comfortable asking questions about faith and still be faithful. Calvary did that for me. Calvary offers the intimacy of a small church and the amenities of a large church. Worship is at 10 in the chapel at First Plymouth church. I don't feel preached at, rather I feel part of a group that tries to wrestle with the big questions of faith and how to live as Jesus would want us to in a modern world. Calvary is a small congregation and it gives me the feeling of a true faith community. But we love the partnership with First Plymouth, which offers wonderful Sunday school classes and choir for my children, a loving nursery for my toddler and mission opportunities for all.
