  This place was a game changer for our daughter. We joined during Covid and stayed through Kinder and wish we could have even done 1st grade there (if the option existed). The teachers are incredible. Miss Angel has helped give our daughter such a strong foundation alongside all her other incredible teachers like Ms, Whitney, Ms. Ausra and Ms. Preeti, to name just a few. Miss Sandy is running the place beautifully and the front office always greets you with a smile (Ms. Lisa and Ms. Tina). We miss this place terribly and our now 2nd grader is so strong in Math and Reading in addition to her social/emotional development at this stage because of the foundations from Bright Horizons that we cannot recommend this place enough.

  My child attended Bright Horizons at Del Mar for two years. The teachers were always warm and kind, and in the TK class my child received excellent education that made the transition to school very smooth. Even now, my child still smiles and talks fondly about those wonderful days.

  Bright Horizons Del Mar holds a special place in our hearts. Newly relocated to SD they welcomed us with open arms and gave both of our kids an amazing preschool/K experience. Our kids loved their time there and always felt heard, celebrated, and challenged. They often shared stories of fun learning activities and connections with their friends. Ms Angel and all the teachers and staff prepared them for a very successful transition to elementary school and truly nurtured them while at BHDM. Thank you!

  Both of our sons attended Bright Horizons at Del Mar for Pre-K and had an amazing experience. My younger one even stayed for Kindergarten during the year of the pandemic shutdowns. When the school announced that they would open a Kinder class with Ms. Angel, we were over the moon. It gave us a safe and consistent place to send our son while we both worked. Her love, support, and endless kindness — along with her careful attention to safety and security during those extremely stressful and lonely days — meant the world to our family. Over the years, we had visited and experienced several other daycare centers and preschools with our two boys, in different cities we lived in, and this Bright Horizons was by far the most stable, loving, enriching, and fun environment. From the moment you walk into the building, through the yard, and into every classroom, you find engaging spaces and activities. Every teacher and staff member we interacted with was knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely caring. I don’t have enough words to express my gratitude toward the brilliant, creative, and compassionate director, Miss Sandy! When my oldest son joined BH just a few months before his 4th birthday — right after a move from the Bay Area back to San Diego, and with a brand new baby brother at home — he struggled to adjust. Miss Sandy asked me what he liked, and at that time he was obsessed with firefighters, police, and of course LEGO. The very next day, when we walked into his classroom, there was a huge firefighter LEGO set and another police set waiting for him. It was his dream come true — all thanks to Miss Sandy! From that moment on, the challenge was over, and he looked forward to going to school. We love the school and staff so much that we continuously recommend Bright Horizons at Del Mar to friends and neighbors.

  Both of our kids attended/are attending this preschool, which is a testament to how much we love the school and trust that they will provide the best care for our children. The director, Ms. Sandy, is genuinely caring and very hands-on with day-to-day management. The office staff are friendly, organized, and incredibly responsive. You can just tell that they adore the children - my daughter will make a point to stop by the office everyday to say hello :) While we have had great experiences with all the teachers (from the 2 year old class to kinder, as we have experienced it all), Ms. Angel, the kindergarten teacher is especially amazing and remains our child’s favorite teacher of all time, even when it has been several years since graduating. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the activities are thoughtful and fun—water play in the summer is a huge hit, and the class performances are super fun as well. I also love that the school app shares photos and short videos for the day, which keeps us connected to our child's school activities. Longer care hours (8-5:30) and year-long care with minimal closing days is also so convenient for working parents. Would recommend the school wholeheartedly - we have been burned with prior experiences at another preschool, and were so lucky to have found Bright Horizons as a safe, nurturing and warm place for our kiddos.
