- DODaniel OrtnerAug 21, 20181.0This is unfortunately not a Christian church (even though it is now categorized as one on Google Maps). As much as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (often nicknamed the Mormon Church) wants to claim it is Christian, there are core doctrinal differences including rejection of the trinity, teaching that God was not always God and that we can become a God, belief that additional works (ordinances, and covenants) are necessary for eternal life, the embrace of additional books of scripture like the Book of Mormon that contradict the Bible, and many more significant differences. I was a member for 14 years before God opened my eyes to the many ways that the LDS Church is not Biblical. If you want a good Bible based Church, there are many great options in the area (Bridgeway, Bayside, Mosaic, Centerpoint, Doxa, and many others). This is not one of them. The members of the Rocklin 3rd Ward are incredibly nice and service-oriented. If you are a member of the LDS Church, you are in a really great ward. I don't have a single bad thing to say about the local membership. They live their faith in an exemplary fashion. But unfortunately I cannot recommend this religion to anyone because it teaches a different Gospel that does not lead to eternal life.
