The Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Cœur Chapel, sometimes referred to as the Sacred Heart Chapel, was officially inaugurated on December 8, 1891 and can be found within Montreal's Notre-Dame Basilica. A fire due to an unknown cause ravaged the original decor of the Chapel on December 7, 1978. The Chapel was later restaured and reinaugurated in 1982. To this day, daily Mass as well as other religious celebrations are held at the Chapel.
