I have fellowship, many churches prior to joining and my testimony and feeling when I come to the grounds of the temple, I feel the spirit, and I even feel it even more when it comes to Christmas a special time of the year, where the spirit and of learning of Jesus Christ is more welcoming as a devote member I can give my testimony that even when I do temple work. I feel the spirit even more and that they are assisting me to do the work in which God would want me to do for them and all that are welcoming. There’s a saying, it goes service onto others is service on to God and so I leave this message to all that come take a moment of peace, relax, and take upon the beauty in which lays the path for you and I know by firm confirmation that it is the way. As through geanology help keep record as Jesus asked to keep record to know of lots wards and stakes that account for all.

I came to the Oakland FamilySearch Library for “BLACK FAMILY HISTORY DAY 2020”, sponsored with The African American Genealogical Society of Northern California (AAGSNC). The beautiful, 10,000-square-foot genealogy library is adjacent to the magnificent Mormon Temple. There are 75 large flat-screen computers, state-of-the art equipment like scanners and printers, 9,000 volumes of books, periodicals, family histories, and attentive staff to help people discover their family roots. The center provides comprehensive collections available for research in genealogy and family history. Though they are maintained by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, they are open to the public at no cost. I am so happy I attended the event and now have the calendar of future events.

Staff have been tremendously helpful as get started on a family research project. They gave assistance in both how to use the tools of Ancestry and Family Search as well as second and third steps beyond the basic research I have completed.
