“ had a wonderful experience with PL Fry & Son during a very difficult time. Mary was incredibly easy to work with—kind, patient, and always responsive. She guided me through every step of the process, offering thoughtful advice and handling all of the arrangements with care and professionalism. She also wrote a terrific obituary for my mom that really captured who she was. The casket they helped select was absolutely perfect, and the ceremony was beautiful and exactly what I had hoped for. I’m deeply grateful for their support and would highly recommend them to any family in need.

Our experience at P.L. Fry & Son was above and beyond amazing. The family wanted a private ceremony at the graveside just a week after my mother's passing. It was so lovely, with extra details that we weren't expecting. Thank you Charla for all you did for our family at such a quick notice. P.L. Fry made the ceremony perfect.

As I reflect on my mother’s passing in February of 2023, one thing that continues to stand out is the kindness and professionalism shown by PL Fry & Son Funeral Home. From the very beginning, Charla Ortiz guided our family through one of the hardest moments of our lives with compassion, patience, and genuine care. Charla’s attention to detail and her ability to balance professionalism with heartfelt empathy made an incredible difference for us. She never made us feel rushed or like just another family on a schedule. Every question was answered with grace, and every step was handled with understanding. When the time came for my mother’s cremation, Charla made the entire process feel respectful and peaceful. Her calm demeanor and caring spirit comforted us in ways we didn’t expect. I will always remember how she treated our family as if we were her own. PL Fry & Son is fortunate to have someone like Charla representing their values. Her compassion truly goes beyond expectations, and my family will forever be grateful for her support and kindness during such a deeply emotional time. Having also worked with Charla for several years through the Every Fifteen Minutes program, I’ve seen firsthand that her dedication extends far beyond the walls of the funeral home. Charla cares deeply about the community—especially our youth—and works tirelessly to make a difference. She is as genuine and committed in her community service as she is with the families she serves. Manteca is fortunate to have someone with her heart and compassion.
