My son attends periodically for backup care, in which he was there for a week this time around due to his primary school’s closure. I could not have been more impressed. It was a very simple and easy process to get him signed up and his spot secured for backup care. Ms. Diana (Assistant Director) is very communicative and ensures a very smooth process every time. Ms. Angel and Ms. Nikki (my son’s teachers) are amazing with the children! I love watching them interact. From the moment we enrolled our son, we knew we had made the right choice. The staff is absolutely amazing—warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in every child’s success. The teachers are fantastic educators who go above and beyond to create engaging, thoughtful lessons that inspire a love of learning. The facility itself is superb—clean, modern, and designed to foster both safety and creativity. One of the things we appreciate most is their unwavering commitment to ensuring the children are safe, supported, and focused on learning every single day. It’s clear that The Academy prioritizes both academic excellence and the well-being of its students. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and highly recommend The Academy at Manhattan Beach to any family looking for a nurturing, high-quality educational environment! - MCMaureen ChinNov 9, 20235.0My child has been attending for about 6 months now and he has done so well here and he really enjoys his teachers here, it is always clean and well organized as well, and have helped immensely with potty training too. They have great programs and spend a good amount of time outside as well. They close at 5:30pm and my only wish was they were open a bit later or had an extended hour option for nights when you need to work late.

At random times at home he’ll just spontaneously say to us ‘I love my school’ - so that deserves 5 stars and more I reckon ;) Highly recommend!

Our son has been here for over a year (since the age of 2) and this is like a second home for us. He is loved and so well cared for, he’s learned so much, and most importantly he is kept safe (which is quite the feat since he’s incredibly active and a daredevil). The wealth of activities that they have on a daily basis is impressive - an amazing playground, a really great indoor gym space (I think it was designed by MyGym), tons of arts and crafts, sensory activities, free play, reading, music, yoga … they have and do it all. And the teachers are all amazing, happy and engaged at all times. I truly think this is the best daycare/preschool around!
