Our daughter joined Bright Horizons at 7 months old and has been there for about a year. South Fig is an absolute gem - the people are incredible, attentive, and caring. Everyone knows my daughter's name and cares for her. She has developed so quickly, is so happy, and has friends there. It is devastating to everyone for South Fig to close so suddenly. The teachers and staff will make any other daycare shine bright. We can only hope we find another daycare as special to us as South Fig.

Directors Brenda, Tiffany, Infant 1 teachers Eunsun, Elisa and Wendy have all been wonderful parts of our family for the first year of our sons life. We are heartbroken for all now that corporate has decided to close this center with less than 2 months notice, leaving many families to scramble and find a new place for their children in a city where wait lists are often many months long. The teachers and families deserve better. There is remarkably scarce options in this city for high quality group care, and now there is going to be one less. Anybody who hires teachers or management who work here will be the true winners. Ridiculous that $40k a year per child can't justify keeping a center open.

As new parents with limited parental leave, finding the right childcare was nerve-wracking. We wanted a place where our 4-month-old son would feel safe, loved, and nurtured. Bright Horizons at South Figueroa exceeded our expectations.
The teachers and staff are exceptional. Their warmth and genuine care for each child are evident in everything they do. They provide a well-planned curriculum that stimulates our son's development, and together they ensure smooth transitions throughout the day, making it easier for him to adjust to different routines and activities.
At 15 months old, our son is thriving! He's become a confident and curious little explorer thanks, in no small part, to the wonderful environment at Bright Horizons. We are so grateful to have found such a special place for him.

Our daughter (23 month old now) joined Bright Horizons South Figueroa almost 5 months ago. We were very nervous especially that she’s been only home with a nanny up until April and has never experienced any sort of group care/daycare prior to Bright Horizons. We’ve been amazed how smooth the transition was, and how quickly she adjusted being at the center. All staff and teachers are so warm and welcoming, she repeats their names (Brisa and Denise) at home almost everyday and absolutely loves being around her teachers and friends!
We get daily reports about her nap time, meals, activities…etc. on the app and get excited everytime we get new photos :)
This is a wonderful place if you’re looking into early childhood development at its best. We’ve been watching her vocabulary grow so rapidly since she joined, as well as adapting to a whole new routine established by the center. Couldn’t be happier and would definitely recommend this location!
The picture is from a picnic lunch the toddler class had in the outdoor area :)

Our family had a bit of tough time finding quality daycare for our infant. We started him at an in home daycare (which didn't work out due to safety concerns). We also interviewed nannies, but we really liked the idea of him socializing with other babies. From the moment we walked into Bright Horizons, my husband and I knew it was exactly what we were looking for (safe, clean, modern). Even as an infant, our son has a "curriculum" (baby version of course) which encourages him to reach his milestones quickly and easily. The children are stimulated in an organized environment helping them develop their senses and I love that he has little "friends" even at his young age of 7 months. In addition to "fun" and "play time" the teachers also do a great job of making sure all children get enough sleep (so they don't get overstimulated). They use safety regulated cribs (firm mattresses, no blankets, etc) behind a transparent wall (we LOVED this feature) and are monitored regularly while they sleep. We were SO worried about childcare (as I'm sure every new parent is) and I even thought about quitting my career. I can't tell you how happy we are that we found BH. Our son has so much fun (he smiles when we drop him off and pick him up) - I really can't speak higher of this preschool!
