They cared for my father as if he were their own family member, which brought our family great comfort. I am truly grateful to the McKenzie Mortuary team for their kindness and professionalism. - MMmarisaFeb 10, 20261.0I went to McKenzie in Long Beach in search of a mortuary. I had already visited other mortuaries prior to McKenzie. Unfortunately, this place felt and looked very creepy inside. Dark, GHOSTLY AND HAUNTED looking. Definitely not a peaceful serene, tranquil vibe going on here. I could not walk out fast enough. I had to cut the conversation short with person showing me the place. .

I am giving a comparison of two personalities that I respect and are respected world wide- to show how this mortician was horrible in dressing my relative. It was devastating to see my relative not look even close to her skin tone. The staff had no explanation as to why my relatives skin tone was 3- 4 shades darker than she was her entire life -Yes-until death; And of course the mortician was not around. to explain. One staff member said we try and match with the photo. And I said no one obviously DID NOT LOOK AT THE PHOTO We did not even have an opportunity to view the body preier to everyone else. Just compare Tina Knowles skin tone to Viola Davis skin tone, two beautiful ladies, clearly having different levels of melanin in their body. This mortuary took advantage of our families grief to collect money by allowing an unskilled mortician to dress our decedent. Shame on you McKenzie Mortuary Services of Long Beach. thank you Lord, we know that You have her Beautiful soul resting in Your arms.
