Caleo Bay is a wonderful community. My loved one is being well cared for in this clean, quiet facility with activities for exercise and stimulation throughout the day, excellent food and a wise and caring safe who lovingly care for residents.

My mother suffered a minor stroke that affected her cognition to the point where she couldn't live alone anymore. She has lived at two other assisted living facilities locally and they just didn't work out for us. When I sat with Anthony and discussed the amenities, services and quarters I had a fair amout of confidence that Caleo Bay would be a much better fit. And it is. Vianca and Anthony are fantastic ambassadors. Thank you so much.

True Hero’s work here. Each and every staff member go to work everyday knowing how hard the job ahead is, they are caring and compassionate people who truly deserve our appreciation. The past year has been one of the hardest years ever and the staff have taken the place of so many families that were unable to be there for their mom’s and dad’s. Hats off to you all. I appreciate you all so much.

Amazing Staff! I would not have my grandma in any other facility! Everyone is so caring about the quality of life for the patients and it really shows through their work ethic. From the different activities they have to the food and how they encourage the members to participate, every aspect of Caleo Bay is just wonderful! So glad my grandma is in a place where we don't have to worry about her quality of care because we know she is receiving the best care at Caleo Bay!! So grateful for everyone that works there!

Sadly I recently had to put my husband in a Dementia Care facility. After touring several places I chose Caleo Bay because of their happy and trained staff. I also was impressed when Dawn Connolly, the Community Resource Director spoke about their 5 tiers of Wellness. She was also willing to negotiate on pricing. This facility had a referral to work with VA that they paid for! My husband has now been there a couple of weeks and I cannot say enough about the caring friendly staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and the facility. The meals are good and nutritious and if you have special nutrition needs they can accommodate. I feel Caleo Bay is a safe, caring new family for my husband during this difficult time. I am amazed every day when I visit how all the staff at every level always have the time to talk to you and know my husband by name. This is an amazing place that takes their role in helping families during a difficult transition very seriously. I highly recommend Caleo Bay. I feel they are the best in the Coachella Valley. Frequently Asked Questions About Caleo Bay Assisted Living and Memory Care

How does Caleo Bay manage medication for residents with dementia and Alzheimer’s?

Your loved one’s provider is responsible for ordering your loved one’s medications while Caleo Bay memory care staff is responsible for medication administration and management. What this means is that your loved one might be on no medications at all or several medications depending on his or her overall health and well-being as determined by his or her primary care physician. Memory care staff will administer the medications as ordered, monitor for side effects and efficacy, and reach out to your loved one’s primary care doctor if they feel any medication is not achieving the desired result. Do memory care residents at Caleo Bay require a specialty diet?

There are dietary recommendations that can help your loved one stay as healthy as possible despite a dementia diagnosis, but it’s also important to keep in mind their changing physical body and how that impacts their diet as well. For example, a newly diagnosed person who is in the early stages of dementia will generally need a diet rich in specific vitamins and nutrients, which can often be provided at home with special effort. However, over time, memory care residents with dementia decline both cognitively and physically. A consequence of this challenging decline is a change in swallowing, which might necessitate thickened liquids and ground or pureed foods. Close monitoring from qualified caregivers at Caleo Bay can ensure these changes are made at the right time.
