  My dad has been living at The Commons in Elk Grove for five years. He started in assisted living and transitioned to memory care over a year ago. Even though it is heartbreaking to see your loved one decline physically and mentally over time, I'm so thankful for the wonderful and caring staff at The Commons. Their friendly, knowledgeable and caring demeanor has made this health journey with my dad much easier to bear. We visit multiple times a week but it's so wonderful to know that, when we can't be there, he is safe and well cared for. Everyone at The Commons works hard to ensure my dad and our family have the best experience. Shout out to all of the caregiving staff, activities, and the kitchen for everything they do!!!

  The Commons is one of the most incredible communities I have been a part of. My family and I had a loved one reside there; she was so well taken care of that we couldn't ask for anything better. The staff was on it with her medications, if we asked for help they came immediately, very frequent check ins, delicious food, so many amenities and activities, and all the genuine care and support you could ask for. Even coming back to say hi 1.5 years later after our loved one passed away, they still remember her and us. It's the most heartwarming community out there. I highly recommend The Commons over and over again.

  The Commons at Elk Grove truly stands out for the people who work there. Their marketing director, Karen, is absolutely amazing and so kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping families feel informed and supported every step of the way. You can tell she truly cares. Nurse Barb is equally incredible. She is resident-first in everything she does and exemplifies what compassionate, high-quality nursing care should look like. Her professionalism, clinical skill, and heart for the residents bring real peace of mind. It’s clear that this community prioritizes both care and connection, and it shows through the dedication of team members like Karen and Barb. Highly recommend!

  My father moved to The Commons about 7months ago and we both love it! My dad can be very stubborn and “rough around the edges” but every single staff member meets him where he is and treats him with respect and dignity. They go above and beyond to help him and ensure he is receiving the best care possible. I feel so secure knowing g my dad is there and being taken care of. The rooms are nice and clean and the food is great too. They have many community events and always welcome family. It’s a warm and caring environment.

  "It feels like home" is what I think every time I walk into the lobby of The Commons. The facility is bright and clean with a cheerful reception area. Karen, the Sales Director, is so helpful and has vast knowledge of the Senior care industry. I've met many of the dining room staff and they are super friendly and helpful. Chef Michael has tasty daily specials and there's something for everyone on the menu. The Commons is a very good neighbor to the Senior Center of Elk Grove. They support the center's fundraisers and activities, with Karen going a step further by connecting her resources to the SCEG. There's always something going on at the Commons, stop by and check it out.
