Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel in Concord, CA provides funeral home, burial, veteran, memorialization, cremation and life celebration services. Call us 24/7.
Our firm traces its roots back to 1958, when our first facility was dedicated. Many years later, this location has seen renovations and changes, but has always been and will continue to be an integral part of this community. Over the years, the original mission of the firm hasn't changed. We have always intended to provide the best, most professional services, complemented by the finest products. Today, we pride ourselves on being current with the major changes in funeral service trends - and bring those innovations and memorialization options to our client families with integrity and insight.
The team at Ouimet Brothers served our family in our time of grief and loss of our mother with the utmost in professionalism, flexibility, care, empathy and attention to detail. It was very important that we execute the funeral mass and burial plans exactly as our dear mother had requested. The burials was in a rural part of Marin County, creating several tricky complications to execute the plan, but Ouimet went well beyond their agreed services to assure all our needs were filled and our mother got the send off she wanted and deserved. We are forever grateful to Ouimet Brothers, and would highly recommend their services to anyone.

Fehia helped us plan our Mother’s funeral. She was very kind. Mom was buried in Bolinas, CA and the funeral Mass was also in Bolinas so there were some unusual issues to take care of, which she did. Ouimet Brothers took care of our Dad almost 20 years ago. I would have recommended them then and I still recommend them today.

During the most difficult time, Ouimet has been a true blessing. From the very start, Fehia has been kind, understanding, responsive, and thoughtful. Both her and Vicky have a calm and peaceful way about them that has really made parts of this process easier. Thank you so much, Fehia and Vicky- you have made a difference :)

I have been wanting to give this place a bad review for some time now. My moms funeral was 2017 and I still cant get over how her service was handled. When we first arrived to do all of the paperwork the lady helping us wasn't very nice she made a stupid comment of my moms long name like it was a funny thing to make fun of. She made a comment of how we needed to stop with these long names, not empathizing at all! The day of the viewing they arrived with my moms body 1.5hrs late, which was one of the longest hours of our lives. We had given specific instructions as to how to do her makeup and hair and they did nothing for her as what we had requested. They did put makeup on but nothing like how we had asked. Also, being Christian they should've had a cross on her casket, which they didnt. They had to bring it out in the middle of the ceremony and place it there. I despise this place for their lack of empathy.

Bob was so nice, friendly, and knowledgeable! I am 49 turning 50 and thought why make my kids plan my funeral. I made an appointment and so glad I did. I got to ask questions and go over things I didn’t even know were possible! Like what if I move States!? No problem Bob says! I love this funeral home. Many of my loved ones have passed and used Ouimet Brothers. We are always so pleased with the level of excellence they provide. It doesn’t matter how young you are it never hurts to plan now! Take the headache away from your loved ones because when we die they definitely will not be thinking straight. Planning ahead is always the best possible outcome. I’m so happy I made this appointment now.

When I call, will someone come right away?
If you request immediate assistance, yes. If the family wishes to spend a short time with the deceased to say good-bye, that’s perfectly acceptable. Your funeral director will come when your time is right.
Should I choose Burial or Cremation?
Burial in a casket is the most common method of disposing of remains in the United States, although entombment also occurs. Cremation is increasingly selected because it can be less expensive and allows for the memorial service to be held at a more convenient time in the future when relatives and friends can come together.
A funeral service followed by cremation need not be any different from a funeral service followed by a burial. Usually, cremated remains are placed in urn before being committed to a final resting place. The urn may be buried, placed in an indoor or outdoor mausoleum or columbarium, or interred in a special urn garden that many cemeteries provide for cremated remains. The remains may also be scattered, according to state law.
What is the purpose of embalming?
Embalming sanitizes and preserves the body. Embalming makes it possible to lengthen the time between death and the final disposition, allowing family members time to arrange and participate in the type of service most comforting to them.
Does a dead body have to be embalmed, according to law?
The Federal Trade Commission says, "Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial."
