- CCCamTD5 days ago5.0This is one of the prettiest temples I've ever been to! It was peaceful (a little smokey but that's what I get for going during fire season) and stunning. The grounds were well kept and it was such a great experience! I definitely want to go back someday.
- DDdangana6 days ago5.0Stopped by at the Cardston temple last Friday evening right around golden hour and the light on that granite facade was incredible for photos. The grounds are immaculate and quiet, with the reflecting pools giving a nice mirror shot if you catch it before the wind picks up. Parking was easy and plentiful even with a few other visitors wandering around with cameras too. It's an easy recommend for anyone into architecture or landscape photography, the whole place just has this calm, historic weight to it.

We didn't go in since it's members only, but the visitor center staff were so warm and patient answering all our questions, and the gardens out front are immaculate for a slow wander after a big lunch in town. Parking was easy even with a busloads of other tourists showing up around midday. Definitely worth the detour if you're doing a foodie road trip through southern Alberta, it's one of those landmarks that photos just don't do justice.
