Elder House Adult Day Care Center was opened in January of 1997 by La Quita Rainey, RN. After years as a registered nurse, both in critical care and in nursing homes, La Quita discovered there were many people that weren’t ready for nursing home placement, but didn’t have the support necessary to maintain their independence in their own homes.
La Quita has a big heart and is passionate about caring for people, and that’s how Elder House began. Throughout the years, she has surrounded herself with wonderful caregivers and volunteers that share her same commitment to helping others.
Customers generally enjoyed the food, noting it was fresh and tasty, although there were some complaints about specific items being cold or not prepared correctly.
