  Everytime I come to this location just to sit and observe my minor son, I get push back from Mr. Phillips. I advise him I am only here for my son. I am not working out, playing any sports, just sitting while he shoots around. I dont understand that if my son has an active account, why I cannot sit in the facility and wait on him. I am not a liability. Secondly, when I came to register my son, I got feedback that they were not expecting us for orientation, but there was a huge note sitting on the side of the computer advising that we were coming. I am starting to think that the Pelham YMCA is not for all, but some. I will not frequent this location ever again.

  Such a wonderful experience! Though it seems to be turning into more of a senior center, the staff (like Stewart, Roberta, Dana, Ronnie, Caleb, Anna, etc) are what really shine 🤩 I’m always laughing and chatting with them and look forward to every workout here 🏃🏻‍♀️💨

  Great weight machines and cardio. Also this location has a good pool. The summer camp is fun too.

  The people are kind, and the sense of community is strong. The positives far outweigh the negatives listed below. The building might not be new, but the layout is sound. Kids recreation and instructors are great.

  They don't want to hire an adult life gaurd like Trussville has. So u can't use outdoor pools during day hours until 4pm. You can only use indoor pool. For the membership fees that are high if u don't have financial aid, so pools should be operational all day
