  The staff at Collins Burke Funeral Home made a very difficult time for my family easier. From arrangements to documents to last minute things the day of, all was handled with professionalism while also remaining sympathetic and personable. I highly recommend this funeral home to anyone needing a great place to honor your loved one.

  Shane and his wife have went above and beyond for my family during the death of my sweet sister. Shane was very encouraging and helpful when we were making the decision to keep the casket closed due to the condition of her body. Dealing with the life ins policy has been a huge headache. They have been patient and kind as we kept working together to get the insurance money. I would highly recommend using Collins Burke when you have a tragedy occur in your family. They will be patient, kind, helpful and respectful in dealing with you and your family member during one of the worst moments of your life. The Family of Lauren Bridges

  When Fred Burke died, so did this business. He let people bury their dead, regardless of their financial ability, with dignity.

  1 star only because it is not possible to give it no stars. I am assuming that the other one star review slipped through and the others have been deleted. I sincerely doubt any business receives 5 stars on Ever.Single.Review. A very dear friend buried his father after his recent death and this is what happened. It is beyond reprehensible. A family suffers a grievous loss and the funeral home is rude, unsympathetic and totally incompetent. This is the gist of what happened: Danny Harbison 7 hrs · I don't usually make these kinds of posts, and this won't apply to most people on my friends' list, but this is one that has to be made: The Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper, AL completely dropped the ball on my father's funeral. There were no details about my father's funeral on their website until AFTER the service. My Mother In Law could not even send flowers because of this, and they could give no details on when and where the funeral was being held until just 18 hours before the service. If you live in the Walker County, Alabama area, I would suggest avoiding this company as being unprofessional, and completely lacking in compassion and basic human decency. As I said, I don't usually make these kinds of posts, but this company seemed to go out of its way to make a difficult time even more unpleasant. As someone who buried her middle son in Texas in September under the auspices of a funeral home and director who could NOT have been more kind to his stunned wife and our family, I find it morally abhorrent that the home put the family through this.
