  I have a 4 year old and 2 year old who currently attend. Both started around 4 months old. The center has had the same director (Lynda) since before we started and Lynda is always attentive to any concern or request we have. There are some staff that have been there for >3 years and have gotten to watch my kiddos grow up. When I walk into the center with my children, teachers greet my children by name and seem genuinely excited to see them. My toddler happily walks over to her teachers and we have tear-free goodbyes in the morning. I've been impressed with all the activities they do with the children. They provide updates in the app with pictures/videos of their activities (art projects, outside playtime, reading) as well as meals and diapering/potty. It's nice to be able to check in if I'm curious how the day is going. They also have very generous hours (opening at 6:30) which allows us to be able to drop kids off before 7:30AM work shifts. They were very supportive and encouraging with helping my kid potty train. With my 4 year old I can see the benefits of their curriculum in her vocabulary, counting, and other skills. I've come in at various times, mid-morning drop off, breakfast, naptime, early afternoon/regular pick-up to get my kids for appointments and things seem well-managed (especially for a place with 50ish kiddos). One downside is that the meals are not going to win any nutrition awards, but they do rotate a variety of foods-more so than we do at home. There have also been a couple teachers at the center during my 3.5+ years who did not seem to love their job or be happy there, but those teachers don't seem to stay for long. Overall my experiences with my kids' teachers have been positive. When I come at the end of the day the teachers are still showing patience and support to the children and again say goodbye to my kiddo by name wishing us a good night and that they look forward to seeing us tomorrow. Another negative is that it is also more expensive than in-home daycares or some other centers, but I appreciate having my child at a center where I know there are lots of eyes and ears around. Obviously NO one will provide the level of care/attention a parent would at home, but my experience with the South Hill Kindercare has been overwhelming positive. Both of my kids got a lot of illnesses through their first couple years there and have gotten some bruises and scrapes, but that's expected with any child entering a community of other children, so I don't hold that against them. I wanted to share my experience for any other parents weighing their options because it's easy to become worried from negative reviews, but we've been in it for the long haul (3+ years, 2 kiddos) and been very pleased.

  My children are treated like family here. My child absolutely loves the staff and he is learning so much! We get pictures or videos daily of all the fun he is having & what they are learning. I love that they notify parents throughout the day of diaper changes, activities, and meals. They put on so many fun family things outside of daycare. It’s nice to get to know the staff and the other families Lynda is an absolutely amazing director and the staff are all very friendly and caring.

  The staff at the South Hill KinderCare are absolutely amazing! Their dedication and caring nature really shows. My son absolutely loves going to daycare every single day and I can tell he is learning so much there! Can’t speak more highly about this place!

  Was a good place for my daughter, till the new management came in. Now my daughter has gone through 3-4 teacher's a lot of her friends left for school but some left cause of the new management and teachers quit. All they want is your money. Good job of ruining something good losers
