Parents of autistic children beware!! This facility cannot accommodate for your child! No matter what they say, they cannot accommodate your child, especially if they elope. They are doing 10 to one ratio on these teachers, and then making it my fault because they can’t watch 10 children at once. They will continue to make excuses before they ultimately tell you on a random Thursday that you need to come get your child because they cannot be watched or accommodated. No matter how many times you try to tell them before your children are enrolled of how difficult your child can be they will insist that they can watch your child until the first day. They will insist that you put your child in a progra, They have no knowledge of themselves Just as long as the child is no longer their problem. They will insist that your child needs to be potty trained, but not continue attempting to help them be potty trained by asking if they need to use the potty. If your child has PICA and has a compulsion to eat dirt, they will allow that child to continue to eat dirt. You will never receive updates on your autistic child, however, if you have a child without autism, you will receive consistent updates on that child. if your child goes to Spokane public schools, they cannot be bust here as it is in MEAD school district.

As someone who has a sibling attending Kindercare i would like to say that i think it is such a wonderful place and such a warm and welcoming community, She has learned SO much from attending kindercare. She has made so many friends and has such a great bond with the kids, and all the teachers talk to the parents whenever they drop off and or pick up their kiddos.

My experience with Arielle and Michelle at KinderCare has been deeply disturbing and heartbreaking. I don’t use words like this lightly, but their negligence and lack of compassion directly impacted my son’s well-being. Instead of working with us to support his needs, Arielle wrote him up five times in a single day and they ultimately decided to remove him from daycare. By law, childcare providers are required to make reasonable accommodations for children with disabilities, KinderCare did not. My son was left without water on multiple seperate occasions, picked up in the same diaper he was dropped off in, and frequently came home with bite marks on his back, where other children had bitten him while he slept. This level of disregard is not just unprofessional, it's DANGEROUS. KinderCare failed my son, and they failed to provide even the most basic care and protection. I hope no other family has to go through what we did.

As a parent considering this center, my visit raised several serious concerns. The first red flag came from an overheard conversation between the director and another parent regarding an incident where a child was hurt. The parent stated no incident report had been filed, and the director's response was to deflect the situation, making excuses and downplaying the incident. This lack of accountability was very unprofessional and immediately brought my trust into question. Second, the assistant director who gave us our tour was unable to answer basic questions about the program, such as the details of a part-time schedule. While I understand new employees are learning, having someone conduct a tour who cannot provide foundational information reflects poorly on the center's training and overall organization. The final and most alarming issue was during our time on the playground. All the teachers were seated at a table, seemingly ignoring the children. I witnessed a child climb the side of a slide, and a teacher ran over, pulled her down, and began yelling at her and pointing her finger. Another teacher ran over there and pointed us out, Once the teacher saw me watching, her entire demeanor changed, which was incredibly unsettling. This experience led me to believe that this is more of a "child-watching" service than an "educational center." I cannot in good conscience recommend this center to other parents. The lack of professionalism, supervision, and genuine care for the children's well-being and safety is deeply concerning. EDIT: Editing this the next day to let all parents know their generic responses is also a concerning issue. If you look through the negative reviews you will see they just copy paste their responses. I hope all the parents looking for a good day care, stays far away from this one.

Shasta Way is a Warm and Welcoming center. The Director Michele has been so Bright, Attentive and Great to communicate with! My children have attended this center for a couple years now & it’s so fun to see all the new things they learn, the fun experiences they share, & the relationships they’ve built with their teachers! It’s truly a nurturing environment & memories my kiddos cherish!
