  Grateful is an understatement when it comes to my appreciation for Silverdale KinderCare. Thank you for fixing another daycares poor treatment, and nurturing my girl back to her silly happy self. At the other daycare, my daughter displayed extreme behaviors that she didn’t feel safe around staff/kids, and KinderCare’s compassionate staff turned that around and made her feel safe and loving again. Thank you so much to Director Jennifer D. and her staff for your warm welcoming arms, successful structure, patience, kindness, playfulness, for being wonderful leaders and role models to my girl, and all the laughter & smiles. You’re all so wonderful and greatly appreciated! 🙏🏼

  Only reason I'm giving a star at all is because my son has had excellent teachers here willing to talk to you about behaviors amd concerns otherwise this place is so awful. NEVER staffed properly so screw you if you have to work and the child's other parent had to work because they will just refuse a child. They also like to get your kid in a classroom just long enough to adjust and then be torn from it to another classroom WITHOUT telling the parents. They also don't even keep the kids in the proper classroom to keep them in a routine they get switched up and mixed around. They lose your kids stuff I am not well enough to afford the expensive water shoes and swimsuit I brought him here in, and they switch him classrooms so much that they misplace his things. Even if he has supplies such as diapers amd wipes they use whatever is convenient to them bc I've picked up my son in the wrong sized diapers, random diapers that neither me or his father bought for him. It's just so frustrating. No communication.

  I currently live in an apartment building right next door to the kinder care building in silverdale wa but I do not have children attending kinder care. I am home most days and therefore I hear all that goes on outside of the care. A lot of the days I hear the kids laughing and the instructors singing songs and talking with them but I also hear the instructors yelling at the children, sometimes swearing at them and kids are usually always crying. It breaks my heart to hear the children crying for longer periods of time. Because I grew up in a large family and I have spent a large amount of time watching and babysitting kids I understand that sometimes kids just cry and there isn’t much you can do to comfort them. I also understand that at times there is so much going on that it is hard to take care of everyone and make everyone happy and yet this is a job that the workers are choosing and I am baffled at how mean they act towards the kids. They yell at the kids to tell them not to yell at one another and how can the kids not yell when they hear yelling all day long? I honestly don’t believe in yelling or swearing at kids or at anyone for that matter. The children should be taught to learn skills of counting to ten or being alone before confronting their anger towards someone else and the instructors need to learn the same. Once again I do not have children attending this school but I know that I would not let them go to day care here. The instructors I’m sure can be loving but they should really re think why they are working there and if it is because they love their job then they should realize how lucky they are to work with the kids and to be an example to them. You lead by example. This review it to the instructors to know that they need to be better than they are towards the children and for the parents to ask their children what goes on at school. The children are the future and if we cannot show more love and kindness towards them when given the opportunity to, even when we are exhausted and tired then they will never show it to those around them. Teach the children by example.
