This is the best place to enroll a child. We love the staff and they take care of our son as if he was their own. They are kind and supportive and truly love him. We can't wait to bring him back next summer for after school care.

I had to return to work when my son was six weeks old and he started at Kindercare, which was tough as a mom, but I knew it was the right place for him. What I love most about Kindercare is it feels like he has a second family that loves and cares for him. The teachers are amazing and kind people. He is now 6 months old and still loves going to "school!" The curriculum is interesting and engaging for him and the teachers are really responsive to his needs and provide us a lot of helpful thoughts and feedback as well.

Very glad to have found this place. Kathy and Carissa do a fantastic job and I trust everyone on their team. We have been going here for 8 years and now have 3 kids attending. We even moved houses to be in a school district they served with school aged kids. I recommend them to anyone I know who needs childcare.

My children are 3 and 8 years old. They have been attending for approximately 3 years. The following is relative and whether its a "pro" or "con" depends entirely on your personal value system and ideology. For the sake of ease though: The pros: *Secure access *Clean facility *Large green outdoor play spaces separated by age/expected gross motor development. Center also backs to forest. *Above average academic curriculum *Your child's picture will be all around the room. Lots of fun photographs. Also, family picture posters. *Emphasis on safety (RCWs are respected and staff never physically restrain or direct children unless extreme circumstance where safety is concern) *Several male staff members and general support of children expressing themselves (progressive and less narrowly defined gender roles) *Staff communicate regularly and appropriately with parents. Daily logs go home for younger children. Older children receive "incident reports" any time they misbehave or are injured in any way, etc. Conferences are also held to keep parents informed of child's development. *Director is actively involved and informed and will personally call parents or discuss issues as they arise *Summer program for school age involves several educational and recreational field trips per week *Able and willing to accommodate for special diets (my children are vegetarian) *Lots of sensory activities for preschool age. Plentiful activities/manipulatives in general in the classroom. The Cons (as I see them): *Classist environment. I have overheard several generalizations made of low income populations. The center does not accept new children with state childcare subsidies. *No recycling whatsoever (a lot of scrap paper. Its a little tragic) *Employees come to work when ill and are either not allowed or unwilling to wear face masks *Social/emotional development is not prioritized. (Children between the ages of 1-4 are required to move classes every 6 months. This is due to transitioning into more advanced academic curriculum. Unfortunately, that means during that crucial birth to 5 period, children are being pulled from primary caregivers every 6 months. Some children have extreme difficulty adjusting and its heartbreaking to watch) *Cookie cutter type environment. Children's schedules are usually not individualized in any way. *Infants are at times left to cry longer than I believe appropriate *I know my son didn't do most of the work that came home during toddler years. You know those cutsie art projects that are so perfect you know a teacher held their hand and moved it for them? *Employees are required to wear jeans and company shirt. This impacts their ability to get on the child's level and you can see how uncomfortable some are. *Generally, management seems to focus more on outward appearance and academic qualifications than on the health and development of the whole child. Overall, its a decent center. I know that my children are generally safe when they go there and that they will be kept busy. On the other hand, I wish they had been given more an opportunity to be creative and free. Like, all tiny people must have outdoor shoes on at all times including nap in case of a fire drill. Oh yeah, and for safety all lights must be on while sleeping too. Like what is that? I just want my kids to play in REAL dirt and hug a darn tree. Not synthetic whatever in a plastic bowl.
