  Our 3-year-old has been at KinderCare for about six months now, and it has been such a wonderful experience. From day one, the teachers and staff have made him feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn. Mrs. Ashley, the director, is truly amazing—she has such a passion for the kids and always makes sure families feel heard and cared for. She’s easily one of our favorite parts of this center. When our son started in the Discovery Preschool room, Ms. Alex was his teacher, and she was incredible at helping him settle into daycare for the first time. He warmed up to her right away, and her kindness made such a difference. Since moving up to the Preschool room, Ms. Destiny and Ms. Lexie have been just as wonderful—patient, encouraging, and so good with the kids. I also love that KinderCare really focuses on both learning and play. It’s not just a free-for-all; the structure and activities are intentional and fun. The phonics classes especially have blown me away—our son is already sounding out words and even reading a few simple ones, which I never expected at this age! The whole facility is clean, welcoming, and filled with staff who clearly love what they do. I honestly couldn’t imagine a better place for our child, and we are so thankful to have found it.

  My 2.5 old has been attending kindercare for the last year or so (second kiddo of mine to be enrolled here). Kindercare has been an amazing home away from home for both of my kiddos. We absolutely love ALL of the staff. Communication is amazing and we love to get our daily updates on the app. Shout out to Ms Jericha, teacher Kai, Ms Samantha, and Ms Ashley! ! We appreciate everyone there! I would definitely recommend kindercare to my friends and family.

  KinderCare in Gig Harbor is by far the best daycare I have seen in the area. The staff is amazing and they go above and beyond to ensure my child is safe and happy every day. We are updated multiple times a day with messages and pictures. My son enjoys going and loves the staff there, they treat him like family. KinderCare in Gig Harbor works on my child’s development and helps him achieve his milestones. The care and attentiveness they provide allows me to go to work on not worry about him. It is a learning environment with tons and tons of fun. The staff goes to great lengths to make any accommodations my son may need at any given time. One of the best part about them is they actually listen to you and are willing to work with you. We had tried other daycare centers and it felt more like drop and go, we had always felt like they were too busy for our child and us. At Gig Harbor KinderCare Center, when we drop off our son and we are immediately greeted and our son is personally greeted as well. They ask how he is doing and how he slept. It truly feels like we are leaving him with family. They show us they care! Now for my shout outs, Ms. Courtney the Director is the BEST! She really changed the place since taking over. She has provided new furniture and toys for the kids and has made it very welcoming when walking in. She has made life very easy for us and is always available to talk with us when needed. She responds to messages very quickly. Ms. Courtney just doesn’t sit behind a desk, she is always out an about with the kids and my son really enjoys her company. Ms. Savanah the Asst. Director is just as great as Ms. Courtney. The continuity between those two is outstanding. If Ms. Courtney is not available, Ms. Savanah is right there to answer any questions you may have. Ms. Savanah is always out and about as well with the kids and my son is always happy to see her. Mrs. Samantha the Infant Lead is the greatest, she is great with all the kids. Her extensive experience shows on a daily basis. She is very caring and gives each child her individual attention, which they all love. She keeps us updated all throughout the day in the app and spends time talking to us about what he did during the day when we pick him up. KinderCare in Gig Harbor may have some bad reviews, but those are in the past. Since Ms. Courtney and the rest of the staff has taken over it is a different environment. In my opinion it is the best daycare in a 50 mile radius.

  Gig Harbor KinderCare center has had a recent change of management. Since April 2024 the new Director, Ms. Courtney, has brought in multiple new staff, completely redecorated, and brought light where I believe there wasn’t any before. Leaving a child in the care of someone else is one of the most difficult things a parent has to do. The Infant Care Team, especially the infant lead, Mrs. Samantha, eased that burden. All the teacher that my son interacts with are amazing, he is always happy to see them. He doesn’t cry when I drop him off and he always get excited to see his teachers. Knowing that my son is happy and comfortable make it’s a little easier to leave him in their care. The staff and director have worked with me and my family’s needs and made special accommodations for us due to difficult situations. I would 100% recommend THIS daycare center to anyone looking for care for their child.

  Absolutely the worst! My daughter has lost three jobs due to them not being able to staff the place! They come up with every excuse to not watch a child. She has to be there by 10am and has to call every day to say she is coming. My daughter has dshs and they charge her a copay but they will not work with you if you’re late paying they assess a late fee the same as her copay so she has to pay two months tuition for her to be able to attend. My daughter is a single mom of two and has had no support from this daycare! I have had to quit my jobs in order to help her because Kindercare does not care about you or your families struggling financially.
