  Lake Newport KinderCare is nothing short of an extension of our family! They have always gone the extra mile to ensure we are all cared for and supported. From our first visit when we were pregnant, to placing our daughter in their hands at just three months old, to navigating uncharted territory during a global pandemic, they have guided and reassured us through it all! The excellent communication from Ms. Donna, Ms. Jessica, and all the other teachers is simply superb. We also can't brag enough about the activities offered. They are fun, educational, and executed with the utmost care. We never have a worry in the world leaving our child in their hands every day, because we know they will always treat her as if she was their own. There just aren't enough words to describe how wonderful Lake Newport KinderCare is. Thank you all for all you do!

  My 5 year old granddaughter attends this Kinder Care and she is so happy, well taken care of, well fed and ALWAYS eager to go every day that she attends. The staff and teachers here are fantastic especially the director, Agnes Barton. The staff really cares about each and everyone of the kids and treats them as if they are their own. This place is the best childcare in Reston, VA as we have tried others and find that there is no better. This center not only watches and takes care of the children but does activities with them and takes them out weekly on field trips. This center is a place where you can have your child or children cared for and have a peace of mine while you are away from them.

  My baby has been enrolled for a couple months now. I love how ALL the teachers sincerely care about him. When he started walking everyone mentioned it and it me made me feel like they all have a genuine interest in the development of my child. He enjoys being at Kinder Care and doing all the crafts. They have a detailed daily report, and every month you receive the curriculum of activities and even songs they're learning. Agnes, the director, has a great energy and gets everyone else in the same spirit.

  We have had a variety of issues with this center, but they got significantly worse after the center director of 20+ years was forced to resign. The issues included a teacher roughly grabbing my 3-year-old by the arm while I was watching. She was upset with how he was playing on the playground. He cried out, "Stop, you're hurting me!" as she dragged him. I spoke to the new center director and to her credit she did seem appropriately concerned about how inappropriate the teacher's behavior was and promised to address it. Also following the resignation there was a lot of teacher turnover, where unfortunately the majority of our favorite teachers at the center left, many whom had been there for 10+ years. We have since left the center and are having ongoing issues with getting our account credit refunded to us. It has been nearly four months. I learned the hard way that there was a reason this center didn't have a waiting list, like the majority of other child care facilities in Reston. I especially regret not leaving KinderCare sooner now that we've moved on to a new child care facility and are experiencing better quality and standards.
