We couldn’t have asked for a better early learning experience for both of our kids. The team at Primrose strikes a beautiful balance between academic rigor and nurturing a child’s overall growth. Ms. Shaveta and her team created an environment where kids truly flourish. Every day they learn practical things around them and become confident and humble humans.

Our kids (5 and 3) have been here since they were infants, and we have been so happy with the care. The new ownership has strengthened the environment and culture with the help of Shaveta—a person who has been a primary reason for our commitment to the school since day 1. Ms. Keerti has been a God-send for our son in preschool, as well. The families are great, and the teachers love our kids. You’re in good hands here!

We love our experience at this Primrose school! Our child is thriving from the all the high-quality curriculum implementation. We love seeing how much he’s learning and his vocabulary is exploding! We always feel very comfortable dropping off and know that he’s going to receive love and attention while he’s learning and growing. 10/10 could not imagine not being a Primrose parent.

We are beyond happy and grateful that our granddaughter, Mila, is enrolled at this school. Since starting here, she has accomplished so much, and we love receiving her daily progress reports—they truly show how much care and attention goes into each child’s growth.
Mila is always so excited to go to school, and it’s amazing to see how happy, confident, and full of joy she is. She absolutely sparkles with enthusiasm, and every time we see her progress and achievements, it fills our hearts with pride.
We would also love to give a huge shout-out to her wonderful teachers, Ms. Rachel and Ms. Kalyani. They have been absolutely incredible with Mila. She has learned so many new skills so quickly, and it’s clear that their dedication, patience, and love for teaching make a huge difference.
Because of the amazing experience we’ve had, we are thrilled to be enrolling Mila’s younger sibling at the same school. We can’t wait to watch him grow, learn, and accomplish just as much as his sister has. We highly recommend this school to any family looking for a nurturing, supportive, and joyful learning environment!

I’m sharing this experience because what we witnessed during our tour was deeply upsetting and something other families deserve to know before trusting this school with their child.
We toured Primrose School of Ashburn on January 16, 2026, around 10:30 a.m., and were initially very impressed. However, while observing a preschool classroom, we witnessed an assistant teacher (who did not know she was being observed) respond to a child in a way that was alarming and, in my opinion, abusive.
A preschool-aged child was throwing large LEGO blocks across the floor, a developmentally normal behavior for this age. The assistant teacher began yelling at him from across the room. She then stomped over, picked up one of the blocks he had thrown, wound up, and threw it back toward the child square in the chest.
She continued yelling, grabbed the child by his outer arms (not under the armpits), and abruptly and forcefully moved him into a padded corner area, releasing him in a way that appeared angry and uncontrolled, essentially putting him in a timeout.
What was equally concerning was the response from leadership. The principal opened the classroom door, asked the teacher if she was okay, did not check on the child while we were present, and then closed the door… leaving the teacher in the classroom immediately after this incident alone with the kids.
We immediately ended the tour and left. Later that morning, the principal called to apologize and said this behavior was not typical, to give them another chance, and that the assistant teacher was new. They said her and the director had talked to the teacher and that she said she had felt overwhelmed and was crying because she felt bad about what she did. While I appreciate the follow-up, none of that is a justification for yelling at a child, throwing an object with the intent to HIT a child, or physically handling a child in anger.
We reported this incident to the state out of concern for the child involved and whether his parents would be informed on how their child had been treated.
Everything about this school looked wonderful on paper, which made this experience even more disturbing as a parent. Trusting a childcare center means trusting how adults behave when they are stressed, not just when things are calm or when they are being observed.
I strongly encourage parents considering this school to observe classrooms closely for an extended period of time, including assistant teachers if possible. I left shaken, sick to my stomach, and heartbroken for the child involved and the other children who witnessed this.
