- PGPablo GomesDec 22, 20251.0We are very disappointed by our experience with Chesterbrook Academy and would not recommend this preschool to other families. The main issue was a consistent lack of communication and follow through. We were often told that our 3-year-old daughter was being disruptive and their default solution was to have us pick her up early. Chesterbrook asked us to keep her home one day so they could come up with a plan to address her behavior. However, no plan was ever created or implemented. Supposedly Chesterbrook has a behavioral specialist, but we were never able to meet with them. I reached out to ask whether our daughter might not be a good fit, so that we could begin looking for other childcare options if necessary. That message was never addressed or discussed with us. Instead, without warning a few weeks after I reached out, we were informed that the preschool was terminating our daughter’s enrollment with only two days’ notice. This was particularly upsetting given that the preschool requires families to provide one month’s notice if they choose to end enrollment. We expected the same level of consideration and professionalism from the school.

The teachers and admin have been wonderful and work very hard to accommodate any special requests when it comes to his care. I can tell they really love and care for him. Anytime he’s been away, they still message us to check up on him. He always has a great time and is just so happy and smiley when I pick him up every day! While we are ending our time at Chesterbrook for the time being, we would love for our son to return and attend another program in the future. We are lucky to have found this place!

- JHJames HeidenreichJun 24, 20165.0Chesterbrook Academy (CBA) was one of several daycares I delivered to for my company when we moved to NOVA (before having kids). After seeing so many daycares as an invisible delivery guy instead of a prospective client I told my wife CBA was the only one I would trust to watch any children we ever have. We now have two children. One of my children happily attended daycare here until they started school, and was more than prepared to start Kindergarten. My other child attends and happily goes to class, is well cared for, and growing/learning every day. Thank you to all the instructors and staff.
