Evergreen Academy Montessori has been such a wonderful experience for our family. As a first-time mom returning to work, I was incredibly nervous about putting my baby in daycare at around 3 months old, but the team here made the transition so much easier.
From the very beginning, the environment has felt warm, welcoming, and supportive. The teachers and admin staff are so kind and caring, and it’s clear they truly love what they do. They always take a few minutes to chat during drop-off and pick-up, which makes me feel connected and reassured about how my little one’s day is going. The staff always rave about my little one and how cute and wonderful they are. Warms my heart.
One of my favorite things is receiving pictures throughout the day. It’s so comforting to see my little one smiling, playing, and being well cared for while I’m at work.
I also really appreciate how the teachers partner with parents and share Montessori activities we can try at home. It’s been so special to learn simple ways to support my child’s development and continue some of the same learning and exploration outside of school.
I’m so grateful for the care and attention the staff provides, and it has given me such peace of mind knowing my baby is in such good hands. I would absolutely recommend Evergreen Academy Montessori to other families looking for a nurturing, supportive environment for their children.

I do not often write reviews (I don't have the time with two young boys!) nor do I feel comfortable posting my thoughts online. However, I felt compelled to write this in hopes that it could lead families who desire a quality, safe and enriching school to the right place: Lake Forest Park Montessori.
It’s an absolute joy to feel the genuine care that exudes from the teachers and staff at this school. Both my boys love it and are learning so much – I know this because I see it in their development and maturity, as well as their social and emotional growth.
Part of the core curriculum at Montessori is “Grace and Courtesy”. Although this may seem like a silly idea for a preschool curriculum, these simple lessons speak volumes. Here’s a reason why: Over Winter Break, we took our boys to Chicago to visit family. Upon entering my brother’s home for the first time, my 5 year old asked my brother “Where do I put my shoes and jacket?”. To add to the story, my 5 year old asked this WHILE his 4 cousins raced into the house with shoes and jackets flying every which way in a rage of excitement. Lol. My brother’s jaw dropped. He was so shocked at the simple act of respect and courtesy. I’m telling you, it’s moments like these that make my heart swell and remind me how lucky I am to have found this school.
The countless activities and events that the schools supports and provides is pretty remarkable. Here are just a few: Spanish lessons, music lessons, field trips, winter and spring concerts (these concerts showcase songs and music that the students prepare for…it’s insanely cute), before and after care, a secure and safe building, twice a year parent-teacher conferences, a Jog-a-Thon fall fundraising event, spirit weeks, Thanksgiving Family Feast, Parent Nights Out, delicious school lunches, daily detailed communication about your child's day with a cool app you can easily sign up for, skate parties.
In addition, they host a number of activities that kids can participate in during the afternoons (for a small cost): gymnastics, soccer, drama, ballet, swimming…to name a few.
The administration makes a tremendous effort to communicate consistently with families - I feel like I'm always 'in the know' about what is going on. When I first walked through the halls and in classrooms at LFPM I noticed that each classroom reflected the core philosophies of Montessori and I couldn't help noticing how the students and teachers genuinely enjoyed and thrived in this beautiful environment.
While I'm on this tangent, I would like to give a shout-out to the following staff at LFPM:
To Ms. Cami and Ms. Helen - for welcoming my little one with open arms. Your warmth, gentleness and creative projects were a highlight with our little one.
To Ms. Kristen and Ms. Emily for teaching and guiding my *wild* son grow and find his "groove". Your ability to organize phonics work and fun supplemental activities truly launched his success in reading at 4 years old! The organization of your classroom is incredible and the work you create is impeccable.
To Ms. Sarah, Ms. Angeline and Ms. Anna - you three have always greeted me and welcomed me with a smile and sweet words about my 3 year old. Your Valentine's Day Party rocked.
To the Kindergarten Teachers - Ms. Teri, Ms. Thea and Ms. Ellie - I cannot comprehend how impressed I am with the thoughtful design and implementation of the enriching curriculum that you organize and teach in this classroom. Your field trip to the Capitol Building - impressive. 24 kindergartners on a bus to Olympia, how DID you do that?! It was a tough decision to put our son in a private Kindergarten, but I wouldn't change it for the world.
Mr. Aubrey and Ms. Shelly - THANK YOU for welcoming my boys each and every morning with a smile. It's so refreshing and I couldn't be more happy to see your faces and know that I am leaving my boys to your care.
Last, but not least, to Ms. Erin, Ms. Joanne and Ms. Nellie. Your smiles, consistent communication and hard work to make LFPM the best it can be is truly amazing.
