Star Beauty School LLC uses Milady curriculum and advanced teaching methods (along with supplemental materials and experiences) for individualized education, effectively preparing you for entry into the world of cosmetology, barbering, nail technology, waxing, and permanent cosmetic tattooing. Our goal is to prepare you for a rewarding career in the beauty industry. We Also Offer West Virginia Licensing In All Of Our Programs!
This is the primary program for those who seek a career in cosmetology, as it helps students qualify and obtain an initial license as a professional cosmetologist. This allows students to gain entry-level employment in the industry. It includes training in all phases of the profession during the required 1,500 clock hours. This program can be completed in as few as 43 weeks.
This is the basic program for those who seek to qualify for and obtain an initial license as a professional barber and gain entry-level employment in the industry. It includes training in all phases of the profession during the required 1,100 clock hours. This program can be completed in as few as 32 weeks.
For Licensed Barbers who would like to pursue a higher level of education in the industry, this program includes academic and hands-on workshops to provide chemical services in the required 400 clock hours. This program can be completed in as few as 11 weeks.
This is the primary program for those who seek a professional barbering career at a higher level. The Dual-Master Barber program teaches not only basic barber skills but also chemical service skills. The dual program includes training in all phases of the profession during the required 1,500 clock hours. This program can be completed in as few as 43 weeks.
This is the primary program for those who seek to qualify for and obtain an initial license as a professional nail technician and gain entry-level positions in a salon or spa. It includes training in all phases of the profession during the required 150 clock hours. This program may be completed in as few as 13 weeks (with courses offered two days per week).
This is the primary program for those who seek to qualify for and obtain an initial license as a professional wax technician and gain entry-level employment in the industry. It includes training in all phases of the profession during the required 115 clock hours. This program can be completed in as few as ten weeks (with courses offered two days per week).

(Previous Cosmetology, Barbering, Or Nail Technician License Required) This program is for Licensed Cosmetologists, Barbers, or Nail Techs who would like to share their knowledge and skills in a classroom setting. For those who desire to qualify as an Instructor, these programs consist of 600 clock hours of training and include all theoretical and practical instruction as prescribed by the Virginia State Board of Cosmetology. These programs can be completed in as few as 17 weeks.

- SSstrobelJul 1, 20261.0the online portion of this school was fine, check ins went well and a few of the teachers (i believe their names were emily and stefani) were very kind. the in person part however was super upsetting. day one when i went in i felt extremely discriminated against when handed my smock, i was immediately told “this wont fit you, but try”. i was constantly told i was doing things incorrectly, and when asked to correct it, i would repeat EXACTLY what i did and theyd say “now thats correct” when i changed nothing, proving they were just giving me a hard time. when state board exams came around, i was the only student to pass BARELY. everyone else failed, and during graduation, i was asked to come back and help them. i find it very unprofessional to need a passing student to come support your other failing students, but i did it nonetheless because i love my classmates and felt terrible. even when i came in, i was getting disrespected, and so were my classmates. overall a very cheap school. supplies given were often from the dollar tree and not high quality to learn with. im very disappointed that i spent thousands on the program just to get basically nothing in return. id suggest finding somewhere else to put your money into, what a waste of time to barely learn anything.
